Do we really need him? If we're looking to play 4-2-3-1 (which I now believe we should) we already have several players who can play as the AMC.

Why would we want Eder tho. I like the guy a lot, but we have Perisic, Jovetic, Ljajic, Icardi, Palacio and Biabiany... 6 players for 3 positions. I dont get it.

BREAKING: Inter have reportedly agreed personal terms with Sampdoria’s Roberto Soriano, but are relying on Fredy Guarin’s move to Jiangsu Suning going ahead.

The Nerazzurri’s Colombian midfielder is believed to be on the verge of an €18m move to China, but the transfer is now under the spotlight after Luiz Adriano’s move from Milan to the same club fell apart.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports today that Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio met Soriano’s agent and that they have agreed a five-year deal worth €1.6m per season.

Sampdoria must now be convinced, but the report says that the Blucerchiati have extended the expiry date of the midfielder’s €15m buyout clause to tomorrow, 21 January.

After that date Inter will no longer be able to rely on getting the Italy international for that price, so further developments are expected today.

I bet go differ, he has lots of quality in him, and is pretty young. The thing is, we don't actually need his type of player here. We need a regista, someone to control the tempo and spread our play. Soriano is not that. He is "just" an improved version of guarin.

Apparantly his transfer was confirmed. Could've been worse, good winter transfer, i just hope we did not overpay for him.

I would pay 8-9 mil for him, we probably paid around 15

He used Cuchu(DM),JZ(cover for Maicon),Dek,Vieira at Inter in mf, De Jong,Barry,J.Garcia,Rodwell and Toure higher up the pitch in City and now he uses Medel and Melo as the DM.
If your primary skill isn't defending you won't play in the lower mf with Mancini.SIMPLE as that

During the first spell of Mancini, Veron was used as a regista. Veron sit back and distribute the ball, a lot of them are long balls. Cambiasso was used as a more advanced CM at that time. I remembered a lot of people were asking why Veron was sitting so deep and rarely joined the attack, while Cambiasso scored a lot of goals just outside of the box and the media said the 18 yard zone was a "Cambiasso Zone", some even compared him to Scholes. D.Pizzaro was bought to be a backup of Veron. When Veron left, Vieira was bought to replace him, and Mancini said both of them play the same position, but the technical quality is replaced by strength.
