“We needed to go to bed early on Saturday night in Florence… The team suffered a psychological blow and felt it for the timing and the way that result came about. The only regret I have this season is that we lost the Scudetto in the hotel and not on the pitch.

Did they need their mothers to call them and tell them to go to fucking bed?

Allegri hugging Tagliavento is the most obvious thing I've ever seen. Fucks sake. I think he'll leave Juventus this year, possibly for Chelsea or Arsenal, and he'll have a great year then be found wanting the next one because the second year is always harder. And it's even harder without referees helping you out.

I'm at a stage where I just don't count Juventus winning anymore. This season has made it glaringly obvious why, whereas in the last few years they were clearly the best side in Italy, now they're returning to the pack only that they're helped out. As I've said before, there's a reason they've "won" 34 leagues in one of the world's best footballing countries and yet have never won the European Cup/Champions League.

I honestly think we're going to make it. I keep fighting myself telling myself we'll fuck up but this has Pazza Inter Amala written all over it. I cannot see how we do it with the clowns we have on the field but there's something weird about this and we should have been out weeks ago.

Report: Ancelotti close to Napoli

Just a day after he was first linked with the role, Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly reached an agreement to become the next Napoli Coach.

It had been reported on Sunday that Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis had several phone calls with Ancelotti and were due to meet on May 21.

However, CalcioNapoli24 has gone one step further by claiming the former Milan and Real Madrid boss will even sign a contract with the Partenopei this week.

The website explains the 58-year-old ‘has embraced the Napoli project for a month now and wants to represent the club’.

Furthermore, he would be happy for Cristiano Giuntioli to stay on as sporting director, with the intention of ‘preserving’ the core of Napoli’s first team.

However, while Maurizio Sarri is being tipped to seek employment elsewhere, La Repubblica warns no clubs have yet to show a willingness to pay his 8m release clause.

That's interesting. I wonder how he'll handle this team which has completely absorbed Sarri's tactics. Will he break it up or build on it? How will his chritmas tree formation fit into all of this? :D

And if I were Milan I'd snatch Sarri while he's still in the country. Start a long term project, one by one get the players he wants etc. But I think they don't even have the balls to sack Gattuso.

Ancelotti can win them the league actually.

I'm having a difficulty seeing Sarri adjust to the EPL if the rumours are true. Can't smoke, can't talk, can't do much really. It's as if he's going to relax and retire lol. Arsenal would seem like the ideal club for a detox from himself :D

Absolute farce that the game between Sampdoria and Napoli was suspended last night with Ferrero going to the curva to stop with the anti-Napoli chanting. These cunts go all over Italy screaming Interista pezzo-di-merda, Milan Milan vaffanculo, Atalantino cane bastardo yet piss their pants crying when anybody responds. Then the FIGC treat it as offensive because Napoli is the name of a place and Napoletani are the people from there but Atalantino/Milanista/Interista/etc. is ok because those are teams not places, what utter horseshit.

I just fail to see how anyone can see it as racist. You're talking about one group of Italians insulting another group of Italians. OK, it might not be very nice or gentlemanly but neither is insulting a group of people because they follow a football club. The ooh ooh oohs at black players should get games stopped and clubs punished but not that. It's banter.

I didn't see anybody going on about racism when Manchester United fans used to chant "Ji Sung Park wherever you may be, you eat dogs in your home country, could be worse, could be Scouse, eating rats in your council house".

Juve are in danger of becoming another Inter..

Buffon
Litchsteiner - Benatia - Chiellini - Sandro
Khedira - Pjanic - Matuidi
Dybala - Higuain - Costa

Retired
Leaving - Injury Prone - Turns 34 in August - Leaving
31 Years old - Pjanic - 31 Years old
Dybala - Turns 31 this year - Costa

Basically from their entire 11, the only 3 players they can count on are Dybala, Costa and Pjanic. Even their bench options are either getting too old or leaving like Barzagli, Cuadrado, Marchisio are all above 30 with Asamoah leaving. I know that they will be buying Emre Can but they will need a lot more signings if they want to avoid a decline in upcoming years. Especially since players like Bernardeschi and Bentancur were underwhelming this year. It's a bold claim but I really think starting next year we will see a huge decline from Juve. Only a purchase of 5-6 players can stop it.

They've started taking a wrong path with signing Higuain for 90m. They definitely need 5-6 top players this summer.

Rube don't need super player transfers when they already bought FIGC and the ref organization

Yeah and they spent 50 million on bernardeschi. Sure they have some replacements lined up like Sczczney, Caldara, Bernardeschi, Can for some of their starters but they are no where near the level their starters were/are at in their peaks. It's a bigger catastrophe if Dybala leaves but I doubt it'll happen.

Never underestimate how good juve are at getting their team and club functional and likewise, never overestimate our own competence.

I give them an 85% chance of winning the league again next season.

Also, despite Szzsszssssezneey (ludicrous name btw) going to juve knowing that he would be Buffon's sub, planning to learn under him for a year, then take the first team spot next season, I have this feeling that he's going to get shafted and juve are going to get another keeper.

Frosinone is most likely returning to Serie A after tonight's games. They have a home game against Foggia who don't have any hopes despite the 3 point gap to 8th placed Perugia (who play away against champions Empoli).

2. Frosinone 71pts
3. Parma 69pts
4. Palermo 68pts

Frosinone-Foggia
Spezia-Parma
Salernitana-Palermo

All games are at 20:30 CET.

I don't dislike them, but I'm really hoping that both Parma and Palermo make the cut. We need teams with proper fanbases and financial backing to play in Serie A. We're losing Verona and it's likely that the replacements will be Empoli, Frosinone and potentially Citadella if they win the playoffs. The other teams in the playoffs are okay, with Perugia, Venezia and Bari. Ideally Parma or Palermo manage to take advantage of results and go 2nd whilst Bari make it to Serie A as well.

It's also likely that Cagliari or Udinese will go down (Spal plays against Sampdoria at home who are crap away and have no motivation), if Crotone beats Napoli (you never know with these southerners) which means we might lose 2 teams with decent fanbases. Both Crotone and SPAL have fanbases that are pleasant for the Serie A.
