Perhaps Politano is RWB option

I wouldn’t have thought Politano would be put aside that quickly, especially since we just bought him.

While I don’t really rate the guy highly I think playing as a striker would hide one of his biggest weaknesses, which is crossing.
He does have some good characteristics though as he is good on the ball and go past defenders making use of his pace. One of his more positive attributes is his link up play and decent awareness.
Iirc he was involved in a lot more goals in his final season at Sassuolo while being used centrally. I would have been ok with using him as a sub or occasional rotation player.

As dax21 mentioned before we will probably try to swap him with Dzeko, so we still only have 2 strikers. Another one is a must, so hopefully we will act quickly, we are just wasting too much time right now. The squad is still far away from being complete.

I find really surprising Conte doesn't want Politano as he had his best games at Sassuolo as one of the two forwards in Iachini's 3-5-2. And when did Conte have the chance to realise Politano isn't suited to his plans? Politano didn't have many training sessions before getting injured. If the rumours are true, it only shows how desperate Conte is to get Dzeko.

It's circumstantial I believe.

Roma wants Politano, D'Ambrosio and possibly one of Gagliardini/Vecino. They also wanted Miranda in the past, they still may be interested of course. We want to keep D'Ambrosio, we may include one midfielder in a future deal and keep the other so that leaves Politano 'exposed' to Roma's interest as he's not expected to be a starter. And Conte wants a starter up front whom he believes he found in Edin Dzeko. Maybe the deals will be completely independent, maybe we're going to work on a Dzeko + 5-10 for Politano at the end of the day. Either way, Roma will win again in a deal with us. I think Politano in Roma's pressure free zone (compared to Inter, that's a playground) will thrive and many people will complain about us giving him away.

I would rather Mou because like me he is an Inter fan. But objectively speaking, given the his last 2 gigs were a failure in comparison, it would make no sense to go for him.

Consider for a moment if Mou was the one with a Juve past and Conte was an Inter legend... All of a sudden Conte would make 100% more sense, don't you think?

I think it is expected when you guys (not you, varmin, but people who did) asking for Spalletti's head and praising top coach (aka Conte)?

Since day 1, I said at least half of the squad needs to be replaced. Changing coach meant we demolished everything and built year zero from scratch. The worse thing is, because 50m was spent on that we would have less money hence sticking to mediocrity.

Conte might be a better coach than Spallo. But Spallo with e.g Chiesa is miles better than Conte with Candreva.

I don't really think that, no. Conte's past doesn't really play much into effect - for me. I just find Conte on his own utterly unlikable. His voice is soft and meek sounding, he has no charisma nor a personality that instantly commands respect, he has no charm like Mou or Klopp. Plus that dead squirrel on his head is a lighthouse beacon of insecurity. I don't think he can win the squad. In fact he is already building a wall between the two, half the damn squad already doesn't like him due to open comments he made.
His past is a detriment to others, but above all to himself. He just made a move that brings him a lot of money but renders him utterly unlikable by most - die hard Inter fans hate him and die hard Juve fans hate him as well because of the move to us. He will be subjected to more pressure and criticizing from our fans than any other manager before him have because every move he makes will be judged and analyzed with far more scrutiny. Question is whether he has the composure needed to handle the stress.

He airs his dirty laundry unlike Spalletti who did it seldom and very selectively. We are unused to it so we might be wrongly mistaking it for some kind of honest transparency. To me, that just signals weakness and being a little bitch. I keep bringing his wages but that's for a good reason. If you lack a wingback, for 12m, you better walk into the locker room and kit the fuck up yourself.

Like I said, if it was Mou with the Rube past FIF would be calling it the worst appointment in the history of the club. Conte has the better recent history which is why we hired him.
