As for Icardi, he recovered the ball out wide and layed it to the full back who was in a crossing position. Something you were saying he was incapable of doing, right?

The discussion here is that Icardi did what you lot have been saying he is incapable of doing, that he was forcing us to play a specific type of football because he's a "restricted player that does not get involved in the play". 20 minutes playing at PSG who had 10 men on refuted all that bullshit.

Neymar and Di Maria were more like wide AMCs and they also had 3 central midfielders who rarely pushed forward. It was a standard game for Icardi
Strasbourg essentially had a 5 man defensive line in front of their GK and then 3-4 players to cover Neymar and Di Maria. So Icardi was basically between all those guys most of the time, trying to drift left and right to open up the space for another player. He had a weird ball got to him in the area, could say the situation resembled that goal at Roma, but his shot was late and he was off balance and the defender got too him.
Strasbourg was quite good actually, didn't expect them to be tactically aware and have well timed counters. Keylor Navas also made a couple of nice saves for PSG.
We'll see how he gels with the team later on and how he fits tactically especially when he starts more regularly. The Parisians are hyped and ecstatic to have him, that's certain.

There is nothing to regret. The choice to get rid of him was never a technical one. Icardi is not part of Inter anymore because he lacks the necessary moral values, even for today's standards. Playing for Inter is a privilege and he lost it.

At the same time, you decided Sensi is not good enough based on him not playing well for Inter against a good opponent yet, despite the only 3 matches being vs. weaker teams that he's probably been our overall best performed. And I doubted you've watched more than 10-20 matches of him as a Sassuolo player to come to that conclusion.
