Agreed. Would like to see him play longer, however our "starters" on defense still need so much work , do not expect more time. If Inter do play another preseason match expect the purported starting eleven to play at 60min together. Again Bastoni will come on as the "dependable " sub.

i agree, and after 5 weeks even more so. of course, skriniar can adapt to playing on the left, but conte wants the team to build the game from the defence, and places a right-footed guy on the left?

i very strongly feel he should give bastoni a chance, or better yet 2-3.

i think we should try the bastoni-godin-skriniar trio.

This is how you slowly integrate youth over time. Give them starts, in a position that will allow them to succeed, against bad clubs. Picked up an early yellow but otherwise played well. Got himself in a nice scoring position in front of goal too.

Out of lots of positives today, I was very impressed how he didn’t flinch at all, even when we went man down.
Incredible composure for a 20yrs old, and tactically very smart.

Would love him to become a future starter for us. Still so young but had had a season of experience with Parma. One thing I like about Conte is that he's giving everyone a chance.

I think yesterday we might have seen the starting back line for the 2021/2022 season. I think this season, and to a lesser extent next season, Godin and D'Ambrosio will be above Bastoni in the pecking order, but two seasons from now Skriniar-De Vrij-Bastoni will probably be the undisputed starters.

Assuming everything goes right with his development anyway, but he looked like a seasoned Serie A defender yesterday.
