Piszczek was rested over the weekend so should start, Akanji next to Hummels unless Favre has a deathwish starting Weigl. Burki injured last game but travelled with the team, likely that Hitz might start in goal. Gotze just got back from flu/illness. Reus and Paco are injured so Dortmund is strikerless. Dortmund will likely sit back and hit on the counter since its an away game. Whoever scores first I suppose.

I am not sure about that as even Dortmund official website have Weigl over Akanji. Though they have got Inter starting lineup totally wrong so i am not sure how reliable their predictions are. Anyway, we'll see in the next few hours.

Them losing Alacacer and Reus hurts them more than us losing Sensi.

I place my hope on our tactical discipline more than everything else. Yeah, Dortmund are pretty dangerous but are leaky in defense - if we are focused and follow a certain plan we should be able to overcome them with relative ease. If we start to fall apart tho I can see them trashing us as easily.

Matias Vecino will undergo tests to assess his condition with him suffering from muscle fatigue only a few hours before Inter’s Champions League group stage clash with Borussia Dortmund, according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport. The Uruguayan’s presence is at great risk for tonight’s crucial match against the Bundesliga outfit, which is due to kick off at 21:00 local time.If tests go well, Vecino could quite possibly make the bench but should they not go well, Antonio Conte could call upon Borja Valero to replace him on the bench for the first time this season in Champions League action. The veteran Spanish midfielder, whose contract with the Nerazzurri club is up at the end of the season, has yet to feature whatsoever across Inter’s 10 competitive fixtures across all competitions. The report goes on to state that Conte will deploy the same midfield as he did for the match against Sassuolo in Roberto Gagliardini, Marcelo Brozovic and Nicolo Barella.

Vecino > Gags any day of the week. Twice on Sundays.

Now go on and score a goal or two Gags!

Vecino may be the only player this season that hasn't had a decent game as of yet. His start vs Lazio was one of the worst matches I've ever seen a midfielder play.

He reminds of Milan's Muntari in the sense that his performances are masked by the fact he scored some important goals (Muntari vs Juve, Vecino vs Totenham/Lazio), but he looks terrible 99% of the time.

Besides can you imagine Dortmind counterattacking with Vecino in midfield? He would be closer to Dortmind's goal than Lukaku by the time Dortmind get to our penalty box.

Yes. I'd rather start the match with 10 men rather than playing Vecino. But Gags is too slow for CL, our midfield is destined to be overwhelmed tonight it seems.

If the game opens up significantly as matches involving Dortmund often do, we could've used Vecino for his directness and attacking/running forward with the ball. In the 2nd half of the juve match, he was regularly on the ball in dangerous areas. He's better than Gagliardini in this regard (and Valero, goes without saying.) Goes to show the lack of quality/options on our bench that Vecino is our most appropriate midfielder to bring on if we need to score.

Muntari vs Juve

Sorry but bullshit.... Vecino was a scandal in this last games. If we have to play Vecino only to be more offensive then we can also play with 10 men, there is no diffrence.

Most of the comments here makes me feel angry. Yes it's BVB. But Sancho isn't Maradonna or Cr7. Youre all shitting in your pants like Benevento fans. Cmon man... i feel like our squad is really underrated here.
I have respect for BVB and know that it will be not easy for us but also for them.

Yeah but we also had a good game against Barca. And at all we are not looking bad, the team is improving and as a said we have players to be dangerous, it's not like this is a bunch of clowns. We have at last some hopes i would say. Something where you can believe in and gives you hype for today evening...some here act like we still play with Gargano and Kuzmanovic.

Honestly, I am as optimistic as you and feel like we can win this one. But bear in mind, this team has dominated over barca at home.

I feel like it must be killing you that, even if it's more of the damning through faint praise variety, you're saying good things about Vecino.
