Ashley Young has been the best of the lot. At the twilight of his career. Sad.

Not to worry. 35 yr old Young will now be backed up by 34 yr old Kolarov. We got it covered :eek:blivious:

Everyone is focused on midfield but is it just me whose severely concerned about our back line? Like yeah we conceded the least goals last season but for playing with a back 3 we conceded way too many and a lot of them were soft goals. Something seemed off for me with the partnerships and we’re going to head into this season with the same exact players. Unless Skriniar goes back to being in god form we could be in trouble again

Not sure about it. At the end of the season we've seen an improvement there. I think that just our defenders needed more time to get used to three-men defense. If you remember even Godin admitted that he struggles at that matter and understood what Conte requires of him at the very end of the season.
Even without any changes we should have better defense than a last season but that also depends of the midfield and wingbacks. They participate actively there as well. Poor balanced midfield will expose the defenders thus increasing the chances for the opposition and vise versa.

Our midfield started to pay more attention to the defensive part of the game. In EL our midfield defended very ridigly. We didn't give many chances to opponents (in open play).

Darmian has the same agent as Bastoni and Ranocchia. If we want to renew Bastoni's contract and/or find a buyer for Ranocchia, we have to pay the Darmian tax.

Gazzetta indeed reports we will sign Darmian for 5mil... so maybe we will sell Candreva, use D’Ambro as vice-Hakimi, while Darmian is the sub for right DC.

This feels like a prime banter era mercato. Hopefully we have at least 1 ace up our sleeve before it's all said and done :yao:

So who should Parma get to return the favor? Being gentlemen in all.

Really feels that way, doesn't it. As for the ace up our sleeve, it's Hakimi. There are no more kings, queens or jacks, let alone aces. Only 6's.

Every 6 months I relive this horror. I feel like a hot, young, college boy on spring break returning to his sleepy home town where a series of grisly murders happened years back. You live with this constant fear looking over your shoulder, expecting the past to catch up with you. Matteo "Voorhees" Darmian. Unbelievable.

Also, presumably these dipshit Darmian and Kolarov moves mean that the Biraghi deal is dead? Biraghi was obviously no world beater but he earned his place in the team as a rotation player. He had joint 3rd most assists in our team, he's cheap, he's homegrown, but most importantly, he's an easy way for us to get rid of fucking Dalbert.

I think Fio refused Biraghi-Dalberth swap.

Why are we only after United rejects? Can't we change it up a bit and go after Barca's? Oh yeah right...
