hopefully they won't extend his contract, if we flop in CL again i don't want him staying in 2022-2023 season.

In Spain they claim Real will announce Allegri next week. We better hope Conte stays else we're screwed.

I think it's fine. We should win a few scudetti before looking at an even bigger picture first. We know now this one trophy isn't going to stabilize the club unfortunately.

Staying pat with Conte is fine. As for advancing in the CL, that will depend on the draw and if we get any decent new signings without losing some of our core players. That really up to management and their ambitions. Face it, our bench is mediocre at best and the starters can complete only with a few of the top clubs tbh. Best case scenario is get another Scudetto and call it good.

Meh, we are done. We are broke, no new quality signings- no result. Plain and simple. Enjoy this scudetto cause bad years are coming again.

Just for you I'll play "Bad Moon Rising" by CCR. Cheer up! If your forecast is correct, hopefully not, we'll all be in it together!

Conte is at 13m net.
Allegri (which we aimed as the alternative last season) would be 7m net.
Simone Inzaghi (top replacement candidate atm) is earning...2m net.

If Zhang is going to cut cost THAT much, fuck him. Most very good coach will accept 7m net per season, no need to go that far to that fraud Inzaghi.

Please no Inzaghi, he's second tier Cunte, that would be devastating. Bring DeZerbi instead.

If it's true that Zhang doesn't want any part of a meeting with Conte, that's really fucked up. How we can continue on like this is beyond me.

De Zerbi has signed a 2 year deal with Shahktar today.

That's my fear as well. If Conte leaves they will go for Inzaghi. Because let's face it. Who could you get if Conte decides to leave and Allegri goes to Real?

Sarri? You would have to make many changes to fit his tactics and there's no money.

Spalletti?

Your only option is to go for coaches who have a similar style with Conte. There are only three realistic options. Gasperini, Inzaghi and Juric. Gasperini doesn't want to hear anything about Inter. Juric would be a huge gamble so that leaves only Simone Inzaghi.

I don't think they would consider any coach from abroad. Not that there are any great options.

Unlike last summer when we had a great plan B in Allegri, this time we desperately need to keep Conte because the alternatives are massive downgrades.

Heard a rumor that Stevie is set to head back to China in a week more-or-less. Best get this thing resolved one way or another. Walking away from 12M seems, difficult but if Inter has no ambition and god forbid long term injuries occur to prime players in the upcoming season, Conte's stock may drop like a stone.

If Conte leaves, the proverbial sinking ship, I expect a domino effect.

Where did you get this? Based on what he was previously earning?

The reports I've read suggest that Allegri would be looking for a similar salary to Conte if he were to replace him.

Options outside Italy must be the case if Conte leaves. There are not many great coaches in Serie A to begin with. Also the downside of signing Conte from day 1, that there is literally zero replacement using his favorite 3-5-2. We have to overhaul after him regardless.

Mourinho just signed for Roma for 7m net, so that amount should be enough to find someone at his calibre.

That was the rumour last summer, when we were linked to him.

The problem is even if we offered a top coach salary there aren't really great ones available. Most of the good ones are currently working. In the free agency the only top choice would be Zidane, if we assume he leaves Real and Allegri replaces him. Then the best coaches you could get are guys like Rangnick, Valverde, Jardim, Rudi Garcia, Villas-Boas or Blanc. The rest aren't even worth mentioning.

Again, Mourinho is being paid a significant amount by Tottenham on top of that, no? At least for a period.

Whoever here thinks that Inzaghi (whichever you wanna pick of the bros), or anyone else will win us a Scudetto next year, should really really REALLY, get a reality check from some professional.

And enough with the stupid math. Just enough.

Inzaghi is 2m per year, but also Inzaghi is minus all the money from the Scudetto. And Inzaghi in chl... Come on.

Enough also with the chl. Fuck Champions league. I'd rather we win couple more titles in a row, than be first in the group and lose the knockouts. Because bros, we are not winning chl anytime soon. We might after our boys win couple of titles and know what it takes to win for the team.

So fuck all the other coaches atm. If we lose Conte this summer. Juve wins the title and we will be behind Roma. I'm willing to bet whatever.

Yes the difference of his Tottenham's salary and Roma's is paid until the end of his Tottenham contract i.e. 1 year. After that he will receive just that 7m.

?!? To whom are you angry? Nobody is saying we will win Scudetto again with Simone Inzaghi. Even Zhang does not expect that but top 4.

Nobody wants Conte leaving either, except Conte himself. If that is the case we MUST choose another one, which we are discussing.

On the face of it the worst case scenario is Conte leaving immediately. We'll attract no good players and some will leave. The second worst is he stays, Suning eventually does sell one of the best players and he leaves during the preseason. Less time for big players to leave, but our season is done.

If he stays though and make do, winning again is quite possible. All the important players will have developed further, winning the title still fresh, and with 1 or 2 inspired signings :)yao:) and sales :)yao:) Inter could still be very tough.

Lol don’t know about that at the end. I could name a few posters on here who would want Conte gone even now despite them being made to look like absolute fools for the past year
