My best guess is that the plan is to use Martinez and Dzeko as the number nine, and then Correa and Sanchez as the supporting strikers. Sensi, Calhanoglu, and Satriano can help fill in when needed.

I’d prefer us not to spend any money before our ownership situation changes. We’re perfectly fine with Dzeko, Martinez, Sanchez, Hakan, Sensi, Pinamonti, Sotriano for two positions in attack. its even more than we need

I don't see Martinez as a 9 for this Inter. Maybe he could be number 9 for club like City or Barca, but not ideal for us. Having a tall No 9 as the focal point of attack is as important to Inzaghi as it was to Conte, even tho their styles are a bit different...

Also, I suspect Satriano will be loaned out as soon as we sign another striker, as he should be. That kid is talented, but he is not ready to play for Inter. He needs regular playing time to develop.

Yep, Inzaghi basically said that in the post match presser. Seems like he sees Lautaro as a prima punta. After watching our game today I can actually see how Correa would fit in really well.

Correa is a good facilitator and would do a better job in Sensi’s role today. I just would also want another striker that gives us pace and a few more goals.

We are 100% getting him. Management are on cloud 9 after 4-0 , and everyone will want to please Inzaghi now..

For €25-30m it’s probably a fair deal considering his age (in his prime) contract (expires in 2024) and the fact that his numbers under Inzaghi have mostly been on an upward trajectory. I’m so-so on him but there’s not a whole lot out there at the moment unless we get Kean or Jovic on loan.

I must say I'm a bit worried having both Calhanoglu and Correa being so important to us. Both talented but infuriating players

I have been strongly against Kean but i would rather get Kean on loan and save money than spend 35-40m on Correa.

I'm against signing Correa and Thuram for various reasons. I think with less amount Inter should go and get both Belotti (insert Pina into the deal) and Keita Balde (whether or not they let Alexis go). That way we have more options upfront, who have different characteristics instead of spending more on Correa or Thuram who both leave a big question mark on whether or not they're worth the money.

Too many flaws in your assumption. Belotti is not cheaper than Thuram/ Correa, plus, Torino can afford maybe half of Pinamonti salary.

Although I wouldn't mind Keita for cheap either, but he is two levels below the two. We don't need backup, Satriano is still here for that role. We need a starter.

Dzeko and Lautaro are going to be our starting strikers, so even if Thuram or Correa arrives they're going to be their back up. Unless Inzaghi try to change the system I don't know how Correa is gonna start. Spending that much money for back ups, with the current financial situation of the club is not a good idea to me.

Belotti is cheaper than Correa and since he only has 1 year left in his contract maybe we could convince Torino to lower their price, or add a player into the deal. I Know Pina earns more than what Torino or many other clubs of their level could afford, but since they're both forwards Torino might welcome that trade and Pina lower his salary.

Dzeko is too old to be considered a starter. He is only the "vice-Lukaku" we have dreamt of for years.

In just a couple of matches, you will see Dzeko running out of gas and can't run that much. He didn't play much for Roma for a reason. I'd rather save that gas tank towards the end of the match when the opponents get tired.

Re Belotti: Cairo is the same guy has been slapping 100m-price tag for Belotti for years, and still managing the keep him there. He won't drop lower than 25m.

Sure Dzeko won't start all the matches but he's the only true #9 in the team and IMO he's gonna start 60-70% of the matches, unless he gets injured or drop form. Spending 40m on Correa, who's neither a #9 nor a goal scorer just to play 30-40% of matches is not a very good idea to me. Plus I don't know how the Lautaro-Correa due is gonna work upfront, since none of them are known to be very sharp shooters. If he's available for 25m it's a fair deal. But for 35-40m I say we better go for Belotti and Keita Balde.

Yes Cairo is a hard ass. Just saying we might try the opportunities to see how it goes this time. He might loosen up a bit this time, since he will lose Belotti for free if he doesn't sell him now.

  If Lotito accepts that then I truly don't know anything about how Italian football works. We robbed him of his coach, and now we lowball him like this.

However, if by some miracle it DOES get accepted, that leaves us the budget to go after Insigne/Kean on loan/Jovic on loan - and maybe a cheeky Nandez deal.

I think I saw Inzaghi saying yesterday Lautaro can play as a lone striker. Maybe Correa is vice-Sensi and Džeko is vice-Lautaro as the main setup, but also with other combinations in mind depending on form, injuries, opponents...

sky - Lazio want at least 35M+bonuses, while Inter dont wanna go over 30. Everything suggests that Correa will leave Lazio.

30 million for Correa ! ! ! Lotito's nuts !

with that money I'd go for Adama Traore if Thuram's move is not happening.
