Can we all finally agree that Anfield atmosphere is shit and that "You'll never walk alone" is a crappy song that does not belong in football?
yeah it's shit but I like the song in its musical context, it's quite tearful story, but not in football sense.

I have no clue why it's hyped up. Such a bore song. Dortmund fans and a few other fanbases across Europe sing it as well which is ridiculous to me.

For example Hertha imo has the best hymn in Germany:

Bayern has a great uplifting song:

In Italy, I don't want to be biased but I really like C'e Solo l'Inter but it suffers from having a melodramatic tune as well, but the pace of the song just makes it sound very good. Similar case with Roma's anthem.
Napoli's anthem is a happy tune one, similar to Torino. It's like they're commercials from the early 90s.

But the best is Lazio. By far, in Europe. Three top proprietary songs and one stadium song:

Non Mollare Mai, quite uplifting

A thematic song

And their official anthem iirc

Part 2 coz of embedding limits.

And this gem by Lucio Battisti sung at the stadium at the end of games.

But Liverpool and their crap sells more. Just like the ever crappy West Ham song about some bubbles which got hyped because of some badly made movies about hooliganism. An even worse song, which makes you realize why the Liverpool one is so popular over there. The rest are mostly based on US Civil war songs, changing the lyrics or WW2 songs, by Americans again (ie Glory Glory Man United). And maybe 1-2 British ones.

And Chelsea has a few songs, one of which sounds like an 80s sitcom opening:

The other sounds like a Merry-Go-Round theme song:

And their anthem is this one:

You’ll never walk alone is a very boring and drab song. However, the Anfield atmosphere can be good imo, they just didn’t have much to get behind last night. If Liverpool were losing and trying to get back into it I think we are talking about a different atmosphere.

I was talking about the musical in which the song’s used.

"You'll Never Walk Alone" is a show tune from the 1945 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical Carousel. In the second act of the musical, Nettie Fowler, the cousin of the protagonist Julie Jordan, sings "You'll Never Walk Alone" to comfort and encourage Julie when her husband, Billy Bigelow, the male lead, accidentally falls on to his knife whilst trying to run away after attempting a robbery with his mate Jigger and dies in her arms. The song is reprised in the final scene to encourage a graduation class of which Louise (Billy and Julie's daughter) is a member. The now invisible Billy, who has been granted the chance to return to Earth for one day in order to redeem himself, watches the ceremony and is able to silently motivate Louise and Julie to join in with the song

ah sorry, thought you meant as a melody thing when you said musical. Wasn't aware of the musical, I thought it was part of a movie's soundtrack

Basically this sanction means the club can no longer be sold by the owner, the club cannot buy new players or sell current ones or renew any contracts. Travelling away games with a limited budget of £20k (even economey ticikets for the whole players aint gonna cut it lol).

Potential consequences: Star players terminating contracts and signing for other clubs for free.

What I wanted to say is, Brehme my friend, say welcome back to your big Rom frrrrieeend 😉

I don't think anyone would say no to Lukaku for free. Not even Brehme. :D

How could their players terminate their contracts?

If they won't be able to pay salaries (weekly cost approx. 3 mil£). And forbidding any transaction means 0 income. So I would say just based on that, at this point they can't even sell beer to the fans that can attend home game with season tickets.

Well there goes rudiger and Christensen.

Rom is currently studying that contract closely. Hoping he added a anti putin clause.

Azpilicueta as well.

Azpilicueta and Christensen will most likely end up at Barcelona.
Rudiger at Bayern perhaps.

None of them were planning to stay iirc.
