Correa and dumfries were essential replacements for our sales. Tonali would have been luxery essentially.Same way you've signed Correa, Dumfries etc. You wouldn't need to pay the sum of the option all at once.
We sold Icardi that same summer we signed Hakimi. We were always going to sell someone last summer aswell. So all I'm saying is if we really wanted to sign Tonali we could've done it, but our manager decided to go a different direction.
it was Conte special request those day to signed Vidal over Tonali etc. i'm not in position to comment Conte policy.Vidal was not an ok transfer. Looking at his overall contribution in two seasons, his age and salary are not his only problems. He dealed with several injuries over the years and he fucked us over against Real last season by getting sent off in the first half. So much for "experience" we needed from our old players!
His good matches for us barely reach 5 and I don't remember he was ever chosen as MOTM in any match. For a guy who was chosen over Tonali, he was supposed to give an instant impact and be a winner. But in reality he was just an occasional contributor, AT BEST! Nowhere close to ok for what he cost us; both for his salary and losing a talent like Tonali to our arch rival.
And another issue with signing Vidal was the length of his contract. If it was 1+1 years it was ok. But we signed him for 3 years and now we have to pay even more millions to him to bugger off!
I think Vidal have been solid player to us last two seasons and that goal against Juve was enough to make up his high salaryVidal was not an ok transfer. That one goal against Juve was enough to make up his high salary?! That's an odd way to rate someone, specially when that someone is one of the highest earners in the squad and he's not even a starter for the club.I think Vidal have been solid player to us last two seasons and that goal against Juve was enough to make up his high salary
That red against Real was bad no doubt, but other games I think he has been pretty good and I think he don’t make much mistakes when he is in field
I think Vidal deal was 2 years with one year option so I don’t think we need to pay to Vidal to leave? I might be wrong?
Radja was not ok transfer if you ask me!
No, man. We've been over this again and again, even at the time of the transfers.Sensationalist bullshit coming out at this time. We were told we have absolutely fuck all money to spend and we needed to sign quick fixes.
Remember, at the end of that season we had to sell hakimi for 60m to basically keep the club afloat. How could we have spent 80m at the start of the year for kumbulla and tonali? Make it make sense
Yeah, we had Tonali basically booked, just had to figure out the final formula. Then Zhangs pulled the plug on any bigger transfers and that was it.No, man. We've been over this again and again, even at the time of the transfers.
The events that Biasin described are exactly what happened. The only sensationalism is sticking to whatever confirmation bias one had at the time despite being fed the true events and all the facts.
What Cellino said doesn't affect this fact, it actually complements it from the other side's perspective.
That's the point I was making that brehme disagreed with but. The general consensus here is that it was conte who didn't want to spend 80m on these two young players. However as you say it was quite obviously zhang. After that meeting the the rumours started appearing about how broke Suning were and that they were trying to sell the clubYeah, we had Tonali basically booked, just had to figure out the final formula. zapata means Dzeko departure?

Kumbulla was an outlay of like 30m all in all. Tonali was what, like 35 or 40m, and after a year milan renegotiated it down 10m because he had a poor year. So 70m then.Where's the 80m coming from?
Club completes Kumbulla capture
AS Roma are delighted to announce the signing of defender Marash Kumbulla.www.asroma.com
AC Milan confirm €10m loan move for Tonali | Goal.com UK
AC Milan have announced that the club has completed the signing of Sandro Tonali from Bescia.www.goal.com
Both players were signed with comfortable structured loans. There's no way their value was 80m. The club could've easily signed them and the only reason it didn't happen is because Conte wanted experienced players.
No it means Lautaro departure.zapata means Dzeko departure?
In our deal for kumbulla there were 4 players involved in the deal?? Who were they?Harpsabu, you keep ignoring the fact that those deals were structured as a loan with option. In kumbulla case it was 2 year loan deal and there were 4 players included. It mentions in the link that the net value would be something 13m. Tonali again 10m loan with another 15 for the option and 10 as bonuses.
And yes It was Conte who wanted experience and who publicly criticised Barella and Sensi after Dortmund game for not having it. Between the money and wages spent on Kolarov and Vidal I'm sure we could've afford to pay the loan fees and wages for those 2 players.
