Will he get as much time as Asllani?

I really like the move. I know people are saying that we were already set in midfield and there are other priorities; however when you have a chance to take a young, talented player I think you need to take it. Next year his price may go up and other teams may be looking for an additional midfielder.

Also, like I said before, I really like the fact that he's so much different from other players that we have.

As much as I hate to say this, but at the moment we are a selling team and if we sell Barella in summer of 2024 I hope this would soften the blow.

I wonder if we’ll try him higher up the pitch the way Inzaghi used Luis Alberto. Could be a good tactical option.
Yes. He has a great shot and can dribble. He is made for close around the box game and goals.

15M€ and Fabbian is a very good deal with a buyback option. If Fabbian is the real deal we can get him back.

I like this guy. I just hope the buy back option for Fabbian is not very high, or don't become a no option as we get closer to sealing this deal. I much preferred to add the likes of Sensi and Lazaro into this deal than Fabbian, this guy looks very promising and I'm quite excited about this deal if we can pull it off.

I've not seen the guy play, but, I'm excited about this sort of transfer and the implication of where its taking us. I hope it goes a bit better than Asllani, though, and I do worry about 3 good rotation level midfielders - I guess Frattesi starts, but 2 young guys on 5th and 6th choice is going to potentially hamper their development unless Inzaghi does some really enforced rotation

From Udinese's perspective, though, they'd have never accepted Lazaro or Sensi - at least Fabbian will develop with them, and if he succeeds, we get to buy him back. The key thing is what the buyback option is - price, and duration. Cant wait to find out.

apparently Fabbian is being transacted at a value of 10m, we're pushing for a 15m buy back, udinese want 20m from 2025 onwards

Both of those scenarios are fine for me.

so question for those in the know about the kid...

how is he different to barella? Or is he lined up as a direct backup/replacement for Barella? from what little videos I've seen, I see someone who is dynamic from defensive to offensive midfield, capable of scoring... probably a better 'close control' dribbler than Barella is, but overall, I see quite a lot of overlap from the brief youtube clips I've seen

Anyone in the know have an opinion/breakdown?

He looks good. Reminds me of the first season of Pogba for Juve. Super quick with the ball, dribble, pass, shoot, very comfortable.

I just think that when you have players with great potential, you need a Conte type as a coach. Simone isn't that type of guy that will develop these type of talents, to that next scary level.

Off topic: Bellanova with Conte wouldve been another story for us... But it is what it is.

One Bulgarian who apparently follows Udinese says:
Pros - dribbling, technique, set pieces, shooting
Cons - slow, avoid tackling and duels, egoistic, static/ off ball movement.

This guy seems like a real deal and he brings what we have lacked last year, he can actually dribble. I'm sorry for Fabbian but maybe this is for the best, he's gonna get playing time in Udine and we'll have chance to buy him back in a year or two.

honestly this is the best for fabbian, he'll get the chance to develop at a team that's just lost a young midfielder, if he deserves it he'll slot right in and get decent game time, and on the back of that, have a real shot at making Inter.
