10 years of FIFSo we try to be cheap with Arnautovic so we can spend on the defender. Unfortunately the best defender is too expensive (Pavard 30m€) so we go for the cheaper options.

Where did onana money disappear?
You can buy taremi and another defender with that shit.I swear, i m starting to believe selling onana for big money and then buying someone ultra cheap like arna was the plan all along, and the rumors that we are interested in balogun, taremi etc was smokescreen from the beginning. Like the year we sold lukaku and then brought dzeko for free.
The thing is.. weren't we going to be spending 40 million on Lukaku and possibly 10 million for Trubin? I guess you could say Trubin money will go towards Samardzic, but if we get Arnautovic for 10 millon tops, we should stlil have around 30 million left over. Toloi was linked as our 1st choice even when we were chasing Lukaku, Scamacca, Balogun etc. so it's not like Toloi is an "opportunity" if we save money on striker.

A small part of me would feel satisfaction with that. Coz you can only go so far with this type of penny pinch behavior year in, year out.
It feels like every summer is like this. Last summer was pretty bad with missing out on Bremer and Inzaghi begging for Inter to get a loan deal for Acerbi as we had a 0 budget for a defender.
