il throw in my 5 cents,

India is a magical place, ive been 3 times,

it was probably the best vacations ive had,

i didnt go there for vegetarian reasons obviously, but if anyone is going for narcotics reasons you will love it

get like 10 grams of opium resin for $10 us,fkn great, pretty good hash and pot all fkn cheap cheap cheap

great food,beaches and WOMEN(in a respectful way);)

and for the last statement by LOG(formerly known as comrade bla bla)

man India has alot of wealth and alot of wealthy people

its not all slums and pits, its a very old and very modern at the same time

street vendors everywhere, and no bull their food is great especially for the non vegeterians

Mikkel, why India and not some place else? And why that Trivandrum instead of New Delhi or any other city? Good luck anyways.

Just a warning for you guys; what I'm about to write might seem a bit strange :D

Well, I wish I could answer that question, but unfortunately I can't. I just know that my trip to India where planed by my higher self before my birth, and therefore I have to follow that plan whether I want to or not.

Yes I did worn you :p

and this can't be compared to the Gismo phenomenon, since I haven’t proclaimed that God came down to me and told me what to do and see Real as a symbol of the divinity.

And Katie Denmark does suck, our weather might not seem bad from an English person’s point of view but, then again England has some of the worst weather imaginable.

Yes we do have some decent shopping options,

But for me material possessions are worthless, therefore I rather live in a place where you aren't judge by your material possessions to same degree as you are in Denmark.

We are so totally in a blessed forum. We have seen 2 guys here, that have communicated whether directly or indirectly with God. I wish god would communicate with me some time, but then I guess, my life style of partying every night, smoking 3 Js in a day, chugging beer like there is no tomorrow, and getting back at 3ams, singing in a loud voice, waking the whole neighborhood and peeing on my next door neighbor's front door, Might not make god too pleased with me. :D

I can see the second coming of Jesus in you. I think God has a purpose for you. In India you'll probably get more signs, and then probably you will have to start preaching the religion. Best of luck mate.

Dude then you are definetely going to a wrong place. India is like Pakistan, whre money makes a man. There is so much wealth discrimination in these places, you wont believe it. You are easily above the law, if you are rich. If you are driving a nice car, and hit some one in a shitty car, then its always the fault of the shitty car driver. You can even run over some really poor kid, and the police wont even care about it. You go to schools, according to the wealth you have, and even in your school, all people talk about is how much money each person has, what kind of car they drive, what kind of cell phone do you have, whether or not, if you live in the posh area of a city or not? etc etc. Its also consider degrading to work, when you are in school, b/c people assume that your dad is not making enough money to support or something.

Canada is a country where material possessions have very little meaning.

God is most probably not pleased with himself when he watches you. "I should have done better" may be his exacts words

Just kidding:lol: (a bit)

Then you should consider changing you way of living :D

Well I haven’t been in contact with God directly or indirectly. Being in contact with your higher self is not exactly the same as being in contact with God indirectly, since your higher self doesn’t necessarily follow God's plan. If I had been in contact with an archangel or another higher being then it would be another talk, but that wasn't really the case. And besides they do have better things to do then telling people down here what to do, especially when we have to find out about it in most cases, unless we screw it up so badly that they have no other choice then to redirect us. Or have something very important to say. In other words it is very, very few people who have had such a pleasant experience, and most who has proclaimed that they have been in contact, have in reality been in contact with their higher self, and not one of the higher beings.

I can see the second coming of Jesus in you. I think God has a purpose for you. In India you'll probably get more signs, and then probably you will have to start preaching the religion. Best of luck mate.

lol, I don't want to be compared to Jesus, he was something out of the extraordinary, and did something that no person on this earth is able to copy. But I'm taking one day at a time, and hope that what ever the reason for my trip to India is then I will fulfil it.

good luck on your trip mikkel. wish you find what you're looking for.

if you really want to get deep in that kind of stuff (higher self, etc.), then you must seek for a "guru", i.e. someone who can guide you. it is really easy to make wrong step.

I don't need a Guru, you might wonder why I write this, but the reason behind this is something that for most of you will be hard to understand and even harder to accept.

But most importently a Guru is very often one who because of his spiritual abilities or knowledge (to often they imagine things that aren't even true) very often get selfish and therfor lose any contact with reality.

If I need someone to help me then it has to be a spiritual Guide and that is something that can't be compared to a Guru.

If I am not mistaken were you not a huge atheist before you had an "experience" that supposedly opened your eyes to the spiritual world?

If this is the reason behind your move to India then good luck bud. Hope you find what it is you are looking for.

Yeah I where an Atheist for about 6 months ago.... And therfor I can now see how blind those people are, and know how they think.

Yeah I did have an experience that opened my eyes, and that experience have led me to this desicion, but still I have always wanted to go to India, so eather way, I would have ended up the exact same place.

Care to share this experience with us, or is this something too personal?

Just curious ;)

Good luck in your adventure Mikkel, it will surely be a life-altering one, I hope it will be worth it.

One thing is that you got to take easy with the food. For me, Indian food is probably the best in the world but can get too spicy at times. I guess you will have to start slowly and then go gung ho.

BTW, do you eat fish or are you also a vegan?

Easy there, whatever experience you had, nothing else except your thinking is different..Just like you say atheists are blind, others might say that it's rather religious people who are delusional..

I've seen few people who suddenly became religious and soon after, screwed up their lives..Hopefully, your case is positive one and you'll find whatever satisfies you, but just don't generalize things like that..Peace.. ;)

Amen the best thing to do is dont follow blindly those people who proclaim to see the future and end of the world or you end up being a member of cult like those millions of blind so called religious people.

Yeah I know that their food is rather spicy, but that I don't see as a problem since I like spicy food, In my eyes vegetarian food from the east is clearly the best.

Yeah I eat fish, milk products and eggs so I'm not a Vegan.

yeah it's way to personal, maybe I would share it if I see a change in peoples reaction towards the spiritual world, but as it looks now then it will take decades.

-wittman
I know that you can argue who is right, let me just point out that I'm not a religious fanatic who neglect some of the sientific facts that do exist. as I have said I'm spiritual not religious that is two very different things.

I where about to screw up my life before I became spirtual, simply because I was going in a direction with very little working possabilities, and where you had to be a lone the most of the time, because it was required by the study, if you wanted high grades, and for me who needs to be arround other people the most of the time, this was just a major problem.

I need to help other people or else I'm not in my best mood, I have known that for years, and the study I took could hardly help me achiving that goal, wheile this one can.

oh yeah and just a final note ateists can also be described as religious, simply because they have chosen to belive in nothing, and we also have to remember, that the atheist belif has teksts which say what you have to belive in, the only difference between atheist belif and a religion is that it dosn't have a book (yet), the problem with atheisme is that it dosn't have an open door, it simply refuse to admit when there is something it can't explain, simply by saying: if it can't be sientific prooved then it dosn't exist.

And that is kinda stupid and narrow minded if you ask me, just as it is stupid that religious fanatics negglect sientific facts.

buttom line is I don't rate any religion higher then any other since I'm sure that all of them has a sertain amount of truth in them, it just varries from religion to religion how much it is, it also depends on how many times those texst (religion) and information has been analyzed and interpret. there more it has thes less right it is. simply because it will be influenced by personal oppions and values at sertain periode.

words limit, when you try to explain the unexplainable then it looses some of the information and meaning in the process and will be highly influenced by personal opinions and experiences.

but since we do live in a physical world and because most people down here haven’t got telepathic skills then we unfortunately still have no other choice then to describe things in words.

the only difference between atheist belif and a religion is that it dosn't have a book (yet)

That people tend to ignore;)

But a reason why people confuse that, is because the "Agnostic" belief exists, which for 'religious' people, it simply makes "Atheism" look bad. Is there much difference between those two beliefs btw? I have not much clue on "Agnostic":)
