Can't say I'm surprised. Milan have looked stronger than us so far in the season and in my eyes they are without a doubt our biggest challengers for the scudetto.
Milan played a very good game so hats off to them.
We played a very poor match from start to finish. All our counterattacks in the first half were slow and ended with a backpass. We simply didn't pass the ball fast enough.
We're not creating enough chances, and this is a huge problem for us this season, and it was the same today.
Last season we had Ibra who would create or be involved in a couple of good scoring chances in most 45 mins of football. This season except for the Panathinaikos match he's looked isolated and chained upfront, and even it that match he looked way too isolated. What's the plan here, to have him outmuscle players and do sombreros to win us every match? He should drop deep and be a lot more involved in build up, instead all he seems to be doing is fighting for longballs, or waiting for crossses inside the box, today with two players around him. I'm not enyoing him under Mourinho at all, as I thought I wouldn't when I first heard Jose was coming.
Ref was pretty pathetic and Burdisso's first yellow was pretty questionable. Not only that but kaka was clearly offside in the sequence before the goal.
Julio Cesar did well, and had a couple of imortant saves. Was defenceless against the goal.
Burdisso was a catastophe, and despite having a yellow he again made a wreckless challenge that diminished our chances to get a goal.
Ibra had a poor match, but again, he was completely isolated and always had a couple of players aorund him. Honestly don't know what he could of done different apart from maybe getting the one decent chance he had on target.
I thought Cambiasso did well, but in his position he should give a lot more passes forward and not as many to the side. But defensivly he did well.
The same with Zanetti, who had some brilliant runs in the first half, I just wish one of them would of ended with a ball forward instead of a backpass. Bit even so, he did well.
Burdosso is a tard for making that challenge when he is already on yellow.
Vieira had a good match, he tried his best and was constantly involved, especially in the first half.
Mancini did little, and it was good that he was taken off.
Queresma tried his best and had the Milan players not been so rouch on him he would of created much more, instead now he got us a lot of freekicks outside of the box. He also played a great pass to Adriano at the end of the macth who should of buried it. Definitly did not suck, he had a hard time but today he played his best match so far for Inter. Not saying he was great, but no one was.
Chivu was in my opinion our worst deender, apart from Burdisso, because in every counterattacking moment he ended it with always passing the ball backwards, this is something Maxwell rarely does.
Adriano fought a lot and ran a lot, which is to be expected from a sub but it's still nice to see him do it. Had one decent chance to score and did well to get a shot of while crowded by several Milan players, unfortunately it went over the bar. he also had the best chance in the match where I couldn't believe he, with his usual good heading abilities missed the goal completely. Huge, huge miss and it cost us.
Cruz did little when he came on. Too bad he didn't get Adriano's chance instead, probably would of bagged it.
All in all, a very poor performance from a Chelsea like Inter. Mourinho gets a 5 rating from me because A, he's wasting our best player and B, should have gotten the team to play better attacking football by now, with the quality we have.
His subs were spot on though, and he did them at the right time.
Meh, what can you do. It's gonna be a fucked up day tomorrow. Gnight all.
