Kakà became the revelation of that year, but before that year he was just a talent bought in Brazil,an unknown for everyone.
You need to get your sources checked.

Kaka was linked with many clubs before he left for Milan, including us. He was not unknown, he was one of the talents that emeged in those days.

I remember this as well,I was wrong to call him an unknown, but I meant that he wasn't a world class player yet when he was at Sao Paulo but just a great talent just like Pastore in this moment.

I personally dont think we should go for Hamsik anymore, he's good but I think hes not a game changer. I think we should go for David Silva, he has pace and he is able to pass in tight spaces, I think he would get the most out of eto as well.

Yeah, and Pastore was huge in Huracan in their last season. Just a kid, but was one of their most important players as AM in their successive run.

Kaka made it to the Milan's first team, a Milan that was nowhere near Milan that is now.

Pastore can't get yeat into a first team of Palermo on a weekly basis.

Obviously there is a difference between them.

I'm not saying Pastore is not talented guy. I'm saying he is not ready.

If he was ready for a big team, he would be snapped by one already.

Anyone watched Montolivo last night, man he has developed since I saw him last season.

I didn't see the game on the weekend, but Montolivo always had the tendency to disappear in games. This season he is indeed a lot better. If he can keep improving the mental side of his game he has the talent to be one of the better midfielders going around.

On Pastore, I think we should wait another year or two for him to be develop. Kjaer is probably ready for the jump to a bigger club now though.

I think its clear that we will be signing a midfielder this summer. Lets see which are the most likely ones we will go for.

Van der Vaart - I think there is zero chance of him. Had we wanted him, we would have gone for him last summer
Gerrard - Doubt he will leave, but if he does we would be the frontrunners.
Fabregas - Minimal chances
Hamsik - Could be our last resort
Pastore - Not yet. For sure
Hernanes - If Milan don't go for him
Inler - I doubt, we would have gone for him in recent years if we were interested
D'Agostino - same
Galloppa - An outsider
Ederson - Its clear that he wants to leave and won't mind Italy. If nothing else works out, we could have a bid for him
Ledesma - he won't cost anything..

Any others you can think of...

Gerrard will never leave Liverpool.
Fabregas is something between Barca and Real Madrid.
Hamsik: it's possible but pretty hard to get.
Pastore: as I said I consider him ready and for what I've read he's also a Chelsea target.
Hernanes: we are not interested to this guy,and Ac Milan has not the money to buy him.
Inler,Ederson,Ledesma,D'Agostino: they are not our targets anymore.
Galloppa: decent player, but we need something else to improve our team.

With Modric recovered we could expect a Muntari + $$ move for Modric

that would be great, for what I've heard Redknapp have always been a huge Muntari fan since he had him in Portsmouth,so I guess this could possible....

I think we will get someone inside Italy.

-Ederson is AM/winger so he would be a sub for Sneijder/winger position. Pastore is pure AM also.

-the most expensive guys are out of the question (with several reasons): Gerrard, Fabregas, Hamsik.

-Ledesma, Inler, Asamoah, Galloppa, D'Agostino. Not so expensive guys, so maybe they are targets. That list is longer sure but I named only few now.

-Anderson of Man Utd might be a surprise target, since it looks very certain he will leave in the summer. They tried to loan him out to Lyon on January. He could be relatively cheap (12-15m€ ??) but I don't know if he's worth it. He hasn't played much for Man Utd this season. Though he's so young at the moment that he has very much time to develop.

for next season i only hope for Hamsik. No need to buy anyone else. He is cheaper than Mancini + Quaresma + Muntari so he isn't impossible.

for CB position Inter still can rely on the current defenders, a new defender is only needed for season 2011/2012

The thing is INTER never done a Vieri since Vieri....

For the past 5-8 years not one single player cost more than 25m (cash$$$)
I think not one of Crespo, Quaresma, Zlatan, Cruz??, and Adriano?? cost more than 25m..

Zlatan was about 25 million and Quaresma's deal could have increased 30 million based on good performances but that ship has sailed :p

These are just those gu(a)ys we should do everything do avoid this summer. Pretty much everyone of those are nothing but average midfielders, and we have abundance of those at the moment. But as you said, it's most likely that we yet again get another average midfielder, who brings nothing new to the current ones. Sucks. Well at least we have Sneijder. :)

the options for midfield are definitely limited, the favorites of the fans are gourcuff gerrard fabegas and hamsik

gourcuff is pretty much never going to come because of how well sneijder is doing, gerrard is an extremely small possibility, hamsik is ridiculously overpriced, and fabregas is just a distant dream

the other names that are being thrown around are mostly extremely average, but i would personally go for anderson, he is mobile, has good hustle, and his passing is good enough to be only behind sneijder and maybe motta, not to mention he already said that he wants to work with mourinho so he is definitely easy to get

Yeah, though I brought Anderson into discussion as the possible target just from my mind. But indeed he looks like a player we could target since he could be got with lower price than what Man Utd paid for him (a bit like Sneijder case). Problem with Anderson could be his partying. Given his age, he might team up with Balotelli and Arnautovic (if he's around) to form a tough trio/duo to the nightlife of Milano. He has had his argues with Ferguson and I doubt Mourinho is any more tolerant.
