Utter nonsense was a 100% Dive.

In addition, as much as i hate to admit it first half Milan were incredible boys vs men stuff....and it seemed destined for liverpool after
a) the almighty collapse of milan in 10 minutes
b) dida mistake on 2nd goal
c) the non existant pen
d) the fact the pen was saved, then rebounded in
e) shevchenko glaring miss (which in my opinion is more of a tap in than gerrards dive that you claim) was saved.

Sometimes its just all about luck, and on that night luck favoured pool

It was destined for Liverpool that night I agree with everything you said except the penalty.

You should really join us in the Inter - Sampdoria forum and have fun sending a :D valentine message :D to her because Susy is a Bilan bitch. You will really get irritated if you read one of her anti-inter articles.

i had read the article before i post the comment...:D

She's is terrible jealous about inter's position at the table.

Thank god Football Italia-admins also post inter fans reactions to that blog, not like goal.com admins, who allowed scumbags tifosi's write messages with words like ''bitches'' etc in their messages. But when you write something 50% never get through. Although i will have to admit sometimes my messages are too teasing. But it's a shame too see so many bilan messages or thumps up while inter messages never get through!

To be perfectly honest, this is the first time I've heard anyone say it was a dive. Here in Ireland Liverpool fans are outnumbered probably 2-1 by Man U fans, not once have I heard any of them say it was a dive. I'm acting like everyone thinks it was a penalty because I have never heard the decision being questioned before.

I've just looked at it again, Gattuso trips and pushes him, the other defender is about 5 yards from Gerrard, the ball would've been at his feet, he woulda scored. I'm truly mystified as to how you think it was a dive.

That was the greatest comeback in CL history and possibly the greatest night of my life as a football fan. So for you to say it was part of a referee's conspiracy against Italian teams is pissing me off big time.

Lol, you are acting as if I am the only one who thought it was a dive...you are even outnumbered here...in a forum full of Inter fans...who hate Milan.

You can believe what you want to believe. To me it was a clear dive. Either way it does not chnage anything.

Just so you don't think I am the only one who believes he dove...

http://soccerlens.com/diving-in-football/19457/

With his team trailing AC Milan, 3-0, Liverpool pulled off an impressive comeback. Down 3-2, Gerrard broke into the Milan box and went down after a slight nudge from Milan’s Gennaro Gattuso.

http://www.liverpool-kop.com/2008/04/rafa-slams-drogba-for-diving-but-steven.html

Gerrard is a hypocritical diver, pure and simple. The question is, why do so many fans accept it and even praise him for it? Liverpool fans never pass up the opportunity to ridicule the likes of Ronaldo and Drogba for diving, yet when it comes to Gerrard and Torres, they’re conveniently overcome by selective blindness.

Take the Milan dive for example: If Gerrard had not dived, it's conceivable that Liverpool may not have gone on to win the game. Because Liverpool *did* win the game, fans think it's acceptable to overlook the dive and everything is forgotten.

Plus my original quote from Goal.com...

The reason I'm arguing with you is because you were the one who brought it up, as part of some nonsensical conspiracy, I see that there are 2 other posters who agree with you here on this forum.

Just because more people are of an opinion doesn't make them right.

Like I said I wasn't aware that it was a controversial decision because I've never heard it mentioned before. Those two links ya put do show that others were aware if this, but I wasn't.

That's why I'm so annoyed by your post, because its nearly 5 years after the event and this is the first I've heard of it. That night was so special to me and I didn't take kindly you besmirching it, by claiming the ref helped us as part of a vendetta against Italian clubs.

I realise that I was wrong by thinking everyone agrees that it was a penalty, clearly everyone does not.

It is a matter of opinion, I've watched it several times now and am fully convinced it was a penalty.

I don't want to continue clogging up this match thread with talk of Liverpool, I'm excited about going to this match and I'm sure everyone else is just as excited and will appreciate the matter being dropped. If you feel as passionate about this as I do, which I doubt you do, pm me to continue the debate.

Javier Zanetti,
I saw the clip about the penalty Liverpool got against Bilan, and it was a complete dive.....100%......no doubt about it..........Too bad for a player that is the symbol of a club like Liverpool dives soo much just to get to somewhere........Maybe he dives because Liverpool haven't won the premier league for the past 20 years......................Shame on you Stevie boy!!!!!!!!

Javier Zanetti,
The best thing about Chelsea is that they don't have our class. They only use their physical strength to beat their opponents, mostly goals comes from either a shot from long range or from set-pieces. We gonna teach them how to score goals from free-kicks :D
