Inter general manager Ernesto Paolillo has pledged to “punish” Mario Balotelli for his “terrible” disrespectful gesture.
The substitute bickered with Jose Mourinho, teammates and fans during tonight’s 3-1 Champions League semi-final win over Barcelona and eventually threw his shirt away at the final whistle.

“Balotelli’s gesture was terrible. Just terrible,” said Paolillo. “It is something we are going to have to discuss.

“Will he be punished? Absolutely, yes.”

The incident marred an otherwise triumphant night for the Nerazzurri, who have put themselves in a strong position to reach the Champions League Final.

“It was a great Inter performance, a great squad and – let me add – this was Mourinho’s victory.

“Leo Messi was marked out of the game by our players and never got the opportunity to move.

“However, Barcelona remain a very dangerous side and we cannot afford to be too relaxed. We must imagine the second leg is starting from 0-0.

“If that is our mentality, then we can do it.”

I think Materazzi attacked Balotelli in the tunnel. The Barca players were stunned by what they saw.

The impact with Messi caused 2 of Maicon's teeth to crack off. Hopefully he will be ok but i am sure the pain was unberable at the time of the incident, poor guy.

Am I dreaming? I have never seen our team like that. Down by one goal and then making an incredible comeback against Barcelona is simply amazing. This Inter have the mentaly, the character to win the trophy. Thank you guys, now go to Barcelona and win the battle!

Thanks dude but sadly the game is far from over and we all know it very well. I would had been a bit more hopeful had we won 3-0 though but that one away goal is very scary as even a 2-0 win for Barca next week would do it. I am still not that optimistic, all thanks to this shitty Barca.

But lets enjoy for a day or two and get back to our Scudetto challenge and beat Atalanta's ass and hope Sampdoria does the same to Roma in Rome (how sweet would that be).

As for this game - It was fabulous but seriously, Balotelli kinda fucked it up a bit. The more I see this version of him, the more I want him to be sold for some $$, or we might even lost that $$ later on. I have never ever seen a young player like him.:wallbang:

Getting back to the game -- SUPERB. The first goal we conceded & Milito did frustrate in the first half with those misses but thankfully corrected his mistakes with two assists and a goal. The other cons of this game is that Stankovic will join Puyol (pron and not cons for us) in the stands in the second leg. Puyol despite being a great defender won't be missed by Barca that much, as we might miss Stankovic in the second leg but lets hope for the best.

FORZA INTER. Lets enjoy for a day and lets get back to the Atalanta game and get back to Barca game - won't be easy but I will be proud of them, if they atleast try their level best.

Pandev was amazing today. I was wrong about him. Mou could have let him continue as he caused a lot of problems for the Barca defense. Balotelli is worth Serie A only, and Pandev the CL.

I'm still totally speechless. One of the greatest moments in my Interista career. 3-1, and it was Barce fucking lona. Preavalent champion in every possible competition.

someone said that Arna would have been better than Balo and I agree so I see no reason to agree with you too! RQ7 would be a bonus in the second leg so I say MOu pls drop Balo and rehire Quaresma!
