What does "El Cuchu" mean?

CAMBIASSO EXPLAINS HIS NICKNAME
Saturday, 03 July 2004 17:12:49

MILAN - For a few years now Esteban Cambiasso has had the nickname 'El Cuchu'. "It was a personality on Argentine television," explains the midfielder. "A nice guy famous for his jokes. When 'El Cuchu was hugely popular in my country I was a boy. I was five or six, so I can only just about remember him. Later on it was my teammates that gave me this nickname. I like it because it's true that I'm a nice and warm person every day, but it's different on the pitch. You need to be useful to the team and... unpleasant to the opponents."

Many were expecting Cambiasso to turn up with a different look, with the shaven head of the last few seasons at Real Madrid. Instead, Esteban presented himself in Milan with a new 'haircut'. "I shaved my head after winning the Clausura title with River in 2002. It was a bet and, most of all, a comfortable solution. Then my wife stepped in..."

The next question is inevitable. What will he do if he wins with Inter? "I still haven't thought about this, and quite honestly I'm not thinking about it," adds Cambiasso. "For me my look isn't a priority. The Inter fans will learn to know me, the only thing that really interests me is the match and the preparations for it. For me the rest doesn't count. A lot of things are said in football, especially during the transfer market period. But I choose not to read them and I don't listen to them."

Yet Cambiasso has been the desire of many a club in recent years. "Yes, so they've told me," he says smiling. "But it doesn't matter now. I'm at Inter and the rest doesn't interest me."

He collected this year's San Siro Gentleman award that is given to either Inter or Milan players, Adriano took it last season, but now it is Cambiasso's turn, Adriano's dribble-goal against Udenise in the league was voted the best goal for Inter this season, and Vieri's shot in Parma in San Siro in tyhe 99-2000 season was the best in the last 10 years, and I think it is.

You can find the goal from www.inter.it
but the angle is not pretty good, to see it along with other Vieri goals, go to goal.com multimedia

aaa

we still can keep emre by putting him in first XI
like this- meyde el chuchu veron(pizarro) and EMRE
what a anmazing midfield! world best for sure!

with emre and meyde to go offensive a lot. and adriano and bobo or oba in attack. if we sell emre i will be very sad and disapointing(spelling...)

If Emre goes, that's a waste, but there is still good, but always injured Recoba

Short STORY:::::

A Juventino and Milanista are walking on the main road...they suddenly stumble off the road and somehow end up at a dark forest, when they come to, they find themselves on a path,

"it feels like something unforgiving is out there..." juve says
"theres no other choice but to continue ahead on it" the milan fan replies

but it doesnt matter anymore,...because...suddenly they hear something...
it makes only 2 sounds, but its to late, its now in sight...

With the end of the season tomorrow it's simply shocking that a year ago or so that some of you guys doubted Cambiasso. I'm not praising myself or anything, but luckily I wasn't in that boat. :D

Though I sure as hell was against Miha. :fero: :p

Cambiasso got sent off in the last minutes of the WC qualifier against Ecuador (Funny decision from the ref). Argentina lost 2-0, but once again Cambiasso was one of the faultless players on the field with a great performance in the anchorman role. Hes surely got to be one of the most consistent players around almost everygame I see him play he seldom disappoints.

That goal was awesome. It's not often you see Cuchu score, but when he does it's always a good goal. Even his goal against Fiorentina was class. This one was even better.

Looking in a mirror are we ??

If you understood football you would know that Real suffered in his position the most before getting Graveson, and still they arent stable defensively...They just dont appreciate talent if it didnt sell shirts there.Even Real real fans know that (thats why i am not suprised you didnt).
