Nah, Cafe has been playing with Lucio lately but as LCB always, just shows that we are just paving the way for froggy to be a fixed starter....

2 CB's good at bringing the ball out would have helped in the first half IMO

The one true win form this match is Maicon, after the Napoli game, you can scratch that as a one off game, but slowly he is gaining form and that's what is needed. What a cross by the man.

They didn't do a thing, Catania put Catanago and parked the whole airoplane infront of the goal, and mostly our atacks where long misplaced balls, or our right flank with Maicon. So Eto has very much didn't touch the ball, 2-3 of his atacks broke down couse thier wall of defenders and his selfishness. For Mota has had bad game, invisible through the match and didn't cotribute nothing in attack had a missplaced passes to.Benched in 86' min for Mariga.

Great buildup on Cuchu's first goal and the second was a header off a beautiful cross with the outside of maicon's foot.

Froggy didn't do much from what I remember

Ranocchia didn't even touch the ball Literally!

Back to the topic, we should consider ourselves super lucky to get away with 3 pts today when our performance was nothing but a total chaos.

The defence was shaky and if it wasn't for Castelazzi we would've lost it easily earlier in the game. It's not a matter of individuals so please don't tell me if Ranocchia started things would've turned much better cuz just as Benitez was wrong in playing with a high defensive line, Leo is doing the same mistake in both games. We're not Barcelona, we don't have the quality of playing with this style cuz of our slow defenders and we're not the type of team that keeps position for most game. Our fullbacks were awful against a team that didn't put much pressure on them neither did they have quality wingers! Defensively they suffered and offensively they didn't offer much support although Maicon did try and had some decent runs down the flanks but mostly useless!

The Midfield was our weakest line, all 4 players were lost and ran out of ideas into how to break Catania's midfield. They succeeded in always closing down our players resulting in mis-passing and random long balls from our midfielders. I blame our midfielder for our miserable performance. The front line didn't perform the way we expected them but can't really be totally blamed as they were isolated. Eto'o needed someone to smack him on the head and tell him this type of games you won't be able to dribble through 3 or 2 players it just wasn't happening, Milito did miss some chances but he isn't as bad as he usually is this season.

Ps. Moratti and Branca = We fkn need reinforcements! We lack creativity in the midfield and Chivu is just unbearable!

Castelazzi was a beast in Goal today... Man of the match for me.

I never wanna see Chivu start a game at Lb again. What coaches see in him, I have no idea. He's a bloody disaster. As shite as Santon has been, at least he has an excuse being so young. What's Chivu's excuse? And let's stay away from the 4-3-1-2. Our midfielders are way too static and slow and all the opponent has to do is pack the midfield themselves. We need width or this team sucks. I'm rapidly losing faith in Milito. He's a shadow of his former self.

Anyways good but a bit of a lucky win. The first 60 minutes of this game were appalling from an Inter point of view. Cast was great in goal and also my MotM.
