I quite enjoyed playing against CPU for almost 3 years, right until it was being made possible to play Online with it. I think he is doing very well at the highest difficulty.
There is also great Training in WE9LE. Lots of nice set of practices, which will deffinetly help anybody. I did it couple years ago, even though I already played a lot WE9LE, and I learned couple new things didn't know before. So it's highly recomended by me, once you download the game, and hook it up.
Irish let me know if you have any problems with it ok? I will do my utmost to help you with your first WE9LE expierience.

Our FB group patch works in both offline/online mode. Like Pajo said, you can play Master League with it, and whatever you like.

The pic was done using last years patch, which was not very accurate. That's why we're doing our patch this year to begin with. We might change it once we'll do the SerieA, or maybe we'll change it for next year.
ps. Does this post mean, you would like to see how the most realistic(talking gameplay wise, not graphic wise) football game feels like? :shades:

Exactly. For you graphics must be "realistic" for game to be realistic. Well I got news for you. For me, and 160 people in my group, the gameplay must be realistic first of all, to make realistic football game. Graphics comes second.
