Pazzo :sweeteye: Leo :sweeteye: ...do you guys think leo will celebrate when we score in the derby?

He should raise 2 middle fingers up to the Milan crowd when we score.

Tbh our midfield is the reason why we are so bad in defence. They leave people like Lucio always one on one vs opponents, they let players run in the middle of the field, making our tactical setting fall apart as we're getting outnumbered.

I totally agree with this statement. Even though there has been a lot of defensive blunders, Our midfield is not offering the support the way it used to which puts our defense in tense situations. It's obviously Leo's style of formation but no escuses if Motta is in a position to defend but completely out positions himself. I want Cambi in his old role... Motta is not effective where he plays right now and this is obvious after so many games.

Responding to the post you quoted. Will Leo celebrate? Knowing his Character, I think he won't... Not like the Bayern match anyway... But I'd love for him to be jumped on again haha He will have no choice but to join the party.

I want 1:0 win with a goal in 90th minute, and Leo to celebrate like crazy on the sidelines, like we won the CL.

That would be epic.

Milan fans will go mental from that on, while Leo will be officialy "ours" :shades:

I think he already is, but yes he gotta win the derby as well to feel the Inter love. I'm sure he will be more than motivated.

Happy with reducing the gap between us and Milan but if I watched that match at the GM I'd want my fucken money back. Christ, Lecce are turning into a team I really dislike because all our matches against them are like this.

Pandev had another awe inspiring performance, and I never want to see Kharja play for us again either.

Unfortunate that Lucio will miss the derby but he has no one to blame but himself for that stupid handball. Hopefully Ranocchia will be back for the derby and we'll play a backline of Maicon, Ranocchia, Chivu, Zanetti. Moratti said "However, one thing I wanted to point out was how well Chivu played today." He's practically TELLING Leo to play Chivu as CB in light of Lucios suspension.

Do we needa win it by 2 goal difference? In case, Inter and Bbilan have the same total points on the table in the end of the season..

there is some confusion on whether goal difference or head to head counts at the end of the season, so we should beat them by 3 goals just to be sure :D

head-to-head is taken into account, but that shouldnt worry us because we will definitely have more points than milan at the end.

BTW, did anyone noticed how Coutinho looked like Frodo in comparison to Lecce defenders?
I'm happy that he's getting some playing time, but he won't be able to use his skills until he grows physically.

I think that in one or two years from now he will become our new Wesley, IF he keeps working hard.
For now he doesn't seems to have the problems that Adriano and many others Brazilian players had, let's hope it stays that way.

INTER: DERBY AT -2

Pazzini decides. Julio Cesar saves.
Now the game with Milan for surpassing.
The Nerazzurri suffer against Lecce and only beat them in the second half.
A save by the goalkeeper at the final minutes.

Milan - SorPazzo (Surpassing) zone. A flick from the Inter central forward has made the Milan derby become the final for the Scudetto. If Milan have squandered (severe fault) a 13-point lead which they had in the 18th matchday, we should acknowledge that Leonardo's Inter have turned it around this Scudetto with heart and logic. The psychological burden of the coach, his enthusiasm has been contagious and a big impact has been made in a significant way for the comeback. Leonardo, however, hasn't been perfect and as a matter of fact he has his own flaws in terms of managing his players and the way he uses his formations. Lecce were in the game for the entire 94 minutes when the coach sent in Stankovic to waste the last 15 seconds of the game to the final whistle.

Veterans Stankovic hasn't been good and it is well documented. But Nagatomo, Mariga and Kharja were not used. They could give necessary contributions to a team that fielded 9 veterans from that battle in Munich. The failure to adopt a different formation at the start (excluding Sneijder or Pandev) and the lack of engagement during the game (first substitution after 75 minutes) were the decisions on the bench that created on the field an agonizing climate. It was a same type of game at the San Siro when current Serie A leaders struggled against the now relegated Bari. And if Julio Cesar did not stop that shot by Bertalocci near the penalty spot (84') then we would be commenting on an incredible stop by Inter.

Dorando In such hard times, the team did not fail, albeit suffering a lot, they have completed the mission. The image of Pazzini scoring his goal is like when Dorando Pietri crossed the finish line at the Olympic in 1908. He dragged the exhausted troops over a tough Lecce obstacle led by De Canio with the realism of desperation: 9 men behind the ball and a lot of double team on the wings.

Invasion This abandonment of the game by the opponents led Inter to a policy of invasion the field of Lecce with ball possession but it was implemented with a training pace. This generated absolutely no emotions in the first half. Inter players moved as if they were in a sleep apnea. 10 men gathered in 16 feet with no space on the wings. One of the example of this was Thiago Motta, who had a hard time of finding better options due to the static nature of Pandev and Sneijder. The decisive event happened at the 7th minute, 50 seconds after the same Pazzini (6th goal in 10 games) got denied by the goalkeeper with a header. The rest of the game was tenacious resistance. And now, Inter are now the master of its own destiny. Win the derby to have the lead.
