In Holland, Marco Van Basten has spent beautiful words of Wesley Sneijder, midfielder which estimates him that much. Well after just watching first half of the Finland vs. Holland game and seeing sneijder destroy Finland with precision passing, in which he got an assist where he crossed the ball over defensive back line and a couple midfielders to a player on the run who finished it with a volley. I don't see why any team wouldn't want this play maker, to say he isn't good enough to replace Paul scholes, would be understatement.

Forum Supporter10 years of FIFI dont want to start argument here, but if you are considering Scholes of last 2-3 seasons then you are spot on. But if you consider overall career, then you are way off the mark.
Its not just ManUtd fans, you can check quotes from great players about Scholes. Zidane, Alsonso, Xavi, Fabregas, Davids, Henry all rated Scholes as best English midfielder in the last 2 decades, also Xavi and Zidane called him best midfielder of his generation (He is not though, he is next to Zidane).
There are quotes galore, wont post in this thread thoguh. Maybe in the EPL thread

considering sneijder is only 27, it is a bit premature to label sneijder's career better than scholes' career.

Forum Supporter10 years of FIFI meant their peaks. People sometimes just see Scholes last year or two and think he is overrated when fact is he was brilliant throughout his career..
