Deki wouldnt have done any better. We lack any player who can make quick and short passes close to the oponents box. With Deki we'd rely again on long range passes hoping some Viola player would screw up and the ball would fall to Milito (which is exactly what we did without him)

We actually played well. We are limited because some of our players are not worthy of playing with us (Chivu, Ranocchia, Forlan, Chivu etc.). Tactically we were very good today. The lack of pacey wingers is also a problem especially if we use 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3, Eto'o used to cover for that.

Its not all of the players are bad yes they have dropped the form, but some do play well, and because of only 4 players that does play well, they get dragged down by players that are crappy.

We had far more possession but we simply couldnt break down their defense because we lack the right players to do that. fiorentina played on the counter but didnt get through our defense either. I liked the formation but today it was clear something is missing.

I heard porto wants alvarez maybe we can use him in a swapdeal for alvaro pereira. We are in need of a good left back anyway.

Can't believe I woke up at 6am for that shit. Was way too tired to both watch the match and post on here.

Awful match. Yet again we show that any team that comes out to defend against us is able to do so far too easily. All our possession meant nothing, we didn't have any decent chances at all. Such a lackluster and static display from all our attacking players. Fiorentina's plan was to sit back and hit us on the counter and they did it to perfection and had far better chances than we did despite missing half their starting lineup.

Don't blame Chivu! He wasn't that bad today, so stop bashing him. We did not create any chances today and Chivu is the last one who has some fault!

Chivu was fine outside of that ridiculous late two footed half-challenge that got him carded. I'm impressed he made it through the rest of the match without getting a second yellow.

we have 2 chivu's in the team and both is unworthy? must be the early game time madness.

I'd gladly swap sides. Honestly I've missed to see the team in action, since the league was suspended due to Morosini's death, so I've been waiting, and in the end I forgot the match time. Shame!

I feel Maicon had an overall negative effect on our offense today.

In the previous couple of games we had a very dangerous left flank, with Zarate + LB putting pressure on the opposition. Regardless of what you think of them but Zarate and Nagatomo had pace, and whenever the ball was on the left it raised the rhythm of our offense with their pace.

Maicon today saw a lot of the ball, and while we had great possession numbers, he never really threatened much. Add Alvarez to that side and we suddenly have a slow possession game played on our right flank with nearly no efficacy. Maicon's crossing has been horrendous, and Alvarez has not been moving the ball fast enough to be a threat. They hogged so much of the ball that we didn't even see the ball in the left side for the first 30 mintues. I would rather Zarate try to dribble and lose possession half the time, because at least the other half we would create something, than watching Maicon + Alvarez keep possession yet create nothing.
