Give him whatever he wants and sign until 2030. He is smart, inteligent and every year he will be better and better. If he decide to go to PL, it might happen that after lost 2-3 games, he is going to be fired. In Inter, he has not that kind of pressure.

I read somewhere that the money for the World club cup next year are enough to save our asses this season.
Yeah conceptually but it will also depend on the CL for example..if we assume we are making the semis and get knocked out at r16, then the 50m from the world club doesn't help that much it just covers assumptions if you see what I mean?

That being said hopefully we are in good form for the world club, I need to check what the prize money are

And he is totally right! Fucking Suning.
Bye bye then*, because we are at least loosing one key player. There absolutely no way on earth our owner would not push towards a sale if but more likely when a 100 plus million offer ends on the table for Martinez.

Heck even Dimarco, Bastoni and Barella are all in demand so even they could easily end up on the block as well. Our owner will demand a sale if the price is high enough and also Marotta aren’t the type of director that says no to a 100m.

Everyone is for sale, we all know this, some pride coaches need to understand something that simple, no key player will ever be safe regardless of club, all it requires is the right offer, at us this is even more true as we are also because of financial circumstances a feeder club. We simply cannot say no to a 100m

* TS so should probably be taken with a truck load of salt.

I suppose that the negotiations about possible renewal will take place after the end of the season. If we win the Scudetto, go far in CL, then Inzaghi has the rights to make serious demands. Otherwise, if we somehow fuck up every tournament we are into, he has almost no leverage to ask for something big.

Based on how things are going this season, I hope he will continue to be our coach.

Can you do breakdown on that supposed 100 mil? I don't see Dimarco and Bastoni getting sold for 25 mil each, providing somebody will pay 50 for Barella.

And on top of that, all 3 players feel happy at Inter and Sunning can't force the sale against their wishes.

Hypothetically speaking if Inter wins the CL there will be wonderful celebrations, followed by an avalanche of change. The change will start with players being picked off by offers the club is in no position to stop, because they lack an owner with deep pockets. This is inevitable because every top bankrolled club out there will want some of that magic this team is putting on the pitch. Plus our players are very sexy. Then the offers will come for the gaffer, who in spite of his love for the motherland and Inter at large will have an opportunity to build a roster with money behind him.

Reason I am not too concerned is because I don't believe we have the owner and situation to be a perennially built top roster. Players will get picked off. This is why by extension I think Inzaghi is at risk, because one will lead to the other. What we do have however is the football acumen in the decision making side. Inter does very shrewd business, which is something I am very proud of in my typical conversation with the unwashed masses who follow lesser clubs.

Honestly this Inter isn't porto 2005. Even Inter 2010 was less reputable than this team. Everyone knows every single one of our players. There's no surprise element here.

Offers that cant be refused I could believe, for someone like Thuram or Lautaro, but I don't see anyone paying enough to separate barella or bastoni or pavard etc from us

We don't need to sell anyone but we cannot buy either then.

it's a matter of draws as well.

If we progress against Atletico, which I think it's a 55-45 affair at this stage, I'd love to face City or PSG next. First because I think that we can genuinely defeat both over two legs. Second because if we do, it'll lift our spirits significantly. And third, it'll leave fewer competent sides for the semis where the league run would probably for most of these teams and they'd put more focus on CL.

I want us to avoid facing Real Madrid over two legs. And as shit as Bayern is playing now, they don't really suit us as an opponent and this is the only tournament - as of now - that they have to play for.

On our best day I fear no one, but we cannot have two best days against the best sides either. They are more seasoned in this tournament and their best day would... outbest ours.

I don’t see why we can’t. Not saying we will but there is no one in Europe that is head and shoulders above us currently. We need to be in good form and most importantly healthy. However, we can 100% do it.

Keep in mind Chelsea won in recent years.

"We're not gonna win CL this year" is a bit of copping out from the whole conversation. Of course that's the most likely scenario because that's most likely scenario for each team still in the competition. No one has over 50% chances to win it so that one could claim we're gonna win it as opposed to we're not gonna win it. Each team has a chance to win it, some has bigger, some has smaller chance. We're definitely in the top4-5 in that list, out of 16 which is pretty significant in my books. City, Real, Bayern are more seasoned to these games so that's the top 3 at this point. I gave 4-5 since maybe there's some other team which is ahead of us because of the result of the first leg, like maybe PSG because they won 2-0 and not 1-0 like us (Arsenal has a bigger road ahead because they lost).

The point is we always have a chance. Look how many years it took from City to win it. CL is about seizing the momentums and about individual events in games. Opposite of normal championship over 38 games. So anything can happen and we are a strong team. It's not likely we win but it is totally possible.

Perfectly reasoned. The only club I concede is better than us is City and that is primarily in depth. The two are close enough that on any given day we have a chance.

As to the rest, we absolutely could end up on our asses earlier than expected. But none of those clubs are better than us. We have a real chance this year. These boys are hungry and have unfinished business.

Goal should be scudetto. Then if you want, 1 CL in the next 3 years. If Limone can do 2 scudettos 1 coppa and 1 CL, in the next 3 years, i hope he stays here for 10 years.

I dont see us winning CL because our depth upfront is not good enough. Also Hakan needs to overperform every game to be close to City or Real level.

If we keep increasing our lead and we can rotate we can make sure our top guys are rested. That will be the key imo.
