Different year same problems:

Don’t let last year’s UCL run fool you. We had a favorable draw otherwise we would not have made it that far and the Final exposed the same three flaws we suffer from for years. You can blame Inzaghi’s suspect substitutions but that isn’t why we lost.

We lost because every summer we choose to fill our striker spot with players who simply don’t have the quality to settle big games where chances are scarce. Marcus Thuram is not world class and will never be that. He’s a slightly above average player and he showed everything tonight.

Our second flaw is our LCM position. Eriksen, Vidal, and now Mkhitaryan. Why aren’t we getting another Barella or Hakan, someone young who can fill that role and make it his own for years?

Finally, our depth is truly garbage. If our only option to change the game from an attacking pov is a 34 year old alexis sanchez and a 34 year old arnautovic then we might as well not bring anyone on at all.

We simply wasted too many chances in Milano and that fucked us hard tonight.

Shits happen, move on.

Well I guess we can focus on the league now? 😬

It's a shame that Spain's 4th knocked out Italy's 1st. This Atletico will easily steamroll over any team in Italy apart from Inter. No match whatsoever.

And also today. We had them. Thuram produced an Arnautovic in front of goal. Didn't help that Lautaro was non existent either.

Losing this way really hurts. We were the better team over two legs and we’ve missed multiple chances to put this tie to bed. Thats what hurts more than anything. When we scored, we immediately let them get one back instead of letting them feel defeated. This has been without a doubt the loss that hurt me the most as an inter fan, because I can’t say they were better or they deserved it. We simply let them through.

We were the form team, we had the better players and we bottled it.

We don’t realistically have a chance of winning the champions league but it sucks to go out this way. Lets focus on the league and come out with something

This was a perfect game for us to see where we stand in the grand scheme of things, and honestly I was moderately nervous during the game, but after they v scored the second goal I was like yeah we just ain't good enough.

We are a great squad in seria a terms that plays entertaining football, good side in cl terms, but some of these players are just not good enough for us to compete for cl trophy year in year out. And at the end of the day if you are playing a historic season, have one of the best stats in europe and in a crucial game put a performance like tonight against a team that lets face it isn't anything special, it just means this is your real level on the highest stage.

I guess the real bottom line is, bar the lucky draw, I don't think we can even expect more given the owners and the level of italian football in general.

The problem is not the starters I’m sure we would be able to beat most teams fully fit. The problem is that we lack depth, so we run our starters dry. Playing your starters week out and in to a much higher degree then many of the wealthiest clubs is bound to cost especially when you have so many players past 30 that you rely on, let’s face it they don’t have the stamina for such a schedule.

Without that money it’s never going to change, we need that new owner and not the Chinese beggar prince

Thuram= Lakaka
don't even quote me on this.

We played miserable but there were a lot of good chance and missed oppurtunitys.. this is not acceptable. Of course im not saying it's only he's fault. But he was one of the worst if not the worst, and it's not the first time honestly. He's mentality is weak just like the cunt of Lukaku was, that could not score against City and big teams. But this is what you get without money. Im really happy for the second star, it was always our dream, nothing more. Still it really hurts because this team could have done much more. At least trying to win the Champions. Against City or Real, but not Atletico. They will not go far with that phatetic defending, we were really stupid not to make profit of it.

Lautaro was caged the whole match by 4 Atleti players. When this happens, others have to step up.

When you F up so many golden chanches the luck eventually runs out.

Our pk taking list was absolutely horrible.

Simone was like : "Oh, Klaassen, nice new hair. You look like you can score today. In you go."

We have the players we have because we are the beggars of Europe, you can’t get more then we currently have without drastically increasing revenue or get a much wealthier owner. The fact we get this much out of nothing is almost crazy and should not really be possible but it is because of the genius in Marotta, without him we would not even be close to winning a Scudetto

Well. 3 objectives now. Beating Milan in Derby, 103 points and more playing times for Bisseck, Buchanan, Augusto and Frattesi.
