That is correct. The UEFA board unanimously agreed to expand the field to 24 teams in 2016.

It will be like the old World Cup format from 1986-1994.

6 groups of 4. The top two teams advance plus the 4 best third placed teams.

So after the group stage will be a round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals...

Ah ok it makes sense now and the tournament will now be more interesting with the round of 16, I always felt there weren't enough games in the Euro.

this "4 best third-place teams", is a very bad solution. i dont like it. Would be better to have 4 groups of 6 team and qualify the first 4 or only the first 2.

I hope Hungary can qualify then, finally. (We can rely the U-20 WC third placed team best players in the NT: Koman and Gosztonyi from Bari, Németh&Gulácsi from Liverpool etc.)

There will be 12 stadio (3 brand-new arena) but that morons missed one of the nicest stadio : Genoa, Marassi.

Genoa is one of the most important city in Italy.

Are you joking? Meazza is the most modern stadio in Italy (along with Roman Olimpico)

Palermo, Cagliari and Juve arena will be new.

All of 12 will be covered and modernized.

The most modern stadio is still not enough to make money for us.......

I would love to get a free stadium in the city of Milan... atleast where we could lease the whole thing out and try and make some profits or cover our losses.
