Running a little low on content this week, so open for any listener questions.
Early in the season you did a few predictions. I can't remember what most of the questions were, but I know one was whether Frattesi would nail a starting position by the end of the season.

A section within an upcoming episode to review those predictions would be good.

Season Finale is up. We recap our pre season predictions and talk about Inzaghi's season as a manager. We also play some Mercato buy or sell.

We're going to take next week off, but will keep pumping episodes out during the summer. Appreciate all the support for our first season and always am open to feedback.

If possible, it will be nice to have episodes about the mercato when it starts.

Thanks

We recorded an episode this morning and should have it up in a few hours. Well be back to our weekly cadence now.

Nice analysis of the Italia Euro disaster. Why the hell would Spalletti continue as the NT, is puzzling if not inane. He appears to have lost the locker room with at least some of the players and definitely lost the plot in the Switzerland match. Hire some one else, even ask someone like Totti to put some fire in squad.
The goalkeeper decision is based solely on economics with more pressing needs in a new center back and a 5th striker. The two free transfers though not massive upgrades are better than the options afforded last year. As far a complacency issues agree that Dimarco maybe an issue but Frattesi and/or his agent are making noise that could be a distraction if things don't run fairly smoothly prior winter break.
Great episode.

I don't get upset very often, but this is what Spalletti does to a man.

Liked this episode with it's wide ranging takes. It's been the center back for couple seasons now masked only the substandard striker concerns. Not really concerned about Sommer, since Inter are getting a replacement. The Tessman deal is a bit of a poser, and it must for gambling on future sales.
Euros have been fine, with surprises by Romania, Turkiye and Austria. Like the rule where only the captains can approach the ref, that being said some officiating has been poor. The Copa, in the matches I've watch seem more like back alley brawls in a lot of cases. Colombia looks pretty good.
As for the golden goal , extra time , followed by penalties: nyet to golden gold, yes to extra time but if tied at the end let's bring back a replay in 48hrs. If penalties are again to decide the match, then no more of the shuck and jive dance prior to the kick, if your going to allow that crap let the goalie move off the line.

We're back. Mostly we talk about Italy's joke of a tournament, but we also go Inter centric with Josep Martinez talk and a brief discussion of Inter players at Euros and Copa America.

So I listened to this while playing some Sonic hacks at 1:00 in the morning because I need to find ways to justify my wasting of time and being up way past the time I should be going to bed at so I justified it by listening to...well, this anyway...and

Never seen @ADRossi so angry before

I couldn't imagine Rossi angry in general. He always seems so calm.

Fuck me, I was expecting tranquil fury. Our friend here sounded annoyed, sure, and how could he not sound annoyed after that shitburger the Italians served up (usually Italian food is better than that, usually it's only our American cousins who think they know how to cook who successfully mangle Italian food), but if that was Mr. Rossi being angry, then the dude's never gonna have blood pressure issues in his life. Either that or he successfully masks his anger with a healthy diet of alcohol and fentanyl.

I also thought you guys would go deeper on Spalletti blaming Italy's problems on Inzaghi. I know you touched on it but it seemed a little more in passing, but maybe there wasn't as much meat on that bone as it seemed. (Fucking food metaphors, I'm not even hungry right now, what the fuck am I doing?) Appreciate that Spalletti's time here at least saw us finally get out of the CL wilderness but fuck off with that shit dude.
