So is Inter's season really not another disappointment or is it like a last minute gasp of breath and re asurance that Inter is still OK even after the Euroderby and "consistency" of ties at the begining of the season.
How mush do you give Inter over the whole period of the season, the poll will start from 5 because I don't think the Nerazurri is less.
Forget of being a loyal Inter Fan, be a "critic" how do you really give Inter?

If I wasn't an Inter fan I'd see "there" season as starting horribly, with an incredible drawing run only to end really strong. They may not have won the league or anything, but having the best defence for the 2nd part of the season was a great turn around. The side was solid and unlucky at times to not go farther in all competitions.

But with a Coppa Italia victory things are definately looking up for those guys. They now have a foundation for adding more titles. And I'm sure this "quote/unquote" Nerazzuri team will go on to bigger things starting next season. I'm not a fan or anything, but if I was I would be screaming "FORZA INTER" at the top of my longs.

END OF NONBIASED CRITIQUE. :D

Overall we played some great football :star:, yet what cost us dearly was our lack of balance and compactness at the start. We lost our heads easily and conceded silly goals even when we dominated matches and created loads of chances.

Mancini used all of our centre backs (apart from Gamarra) and didn't have a partnership set in stone unlike Milan, Juve and the likes. That's why we allowed 26 goals in 19 games ! yet when Mancio finally opted for Miha - Cafe, we looked way more secure at the back in the second half of the season. Least goals conceded and most points gained, improvement is there to behold surely !

Good season IMO. For next season, we have to build on this Coppa victory.

Haha good stuff Rich. :D

I think this season was a positive one. Our bad start in the season cost us any chance of winning the Scudetto but after we stopped drawing games every friggin' week, we were arguably the best team in Serie A. We lost only 4 games in all competitions and you could argue we didn't deserve to lose any of them the way we played. Beautiful attacking football was also introduced by Mancini, something we hadn't seen in awhile.

Mancio has brought a breath of fresh air to the Black and Blue side of Milano and I'm so excited with the direction of this team, I'm practically counting down the days till next season!

Forza Ragazzi!

I'll just cancel our first half of season ..

look at the reasults : third in Campionato ... being knocked out from the C.L. in an so unfearly way .. Coppa Italia ..

its surley better than last season .. and better than the season before because we won something ..

and if we looked at our game .. I'll say that we played a very very good football .. I can hear everyone talking about Inter all the time as a great nice football team ..

we lost only 3 games .. and didn't deserve to lose any of them ..

considering that this season is the first for Mancini and alot of players and having many physical problems .. unlucky .. bad overall of the refrees which made us pay alot of unfair points ...

I'll say it was very positve season comparing to Inter we saw in the last 7 or 8 seasons ..

I'll say .. great job Mancini .. Facchetti and Moratti ... get some players that we'll need to cover the mistakes we did this season .. and continue the project that we all agreed on in the start of the season ... cuz we're on the right track ...

The first half of the season is easily forgettable. Let's pretend it never existed. :D

Consequently, our season has been great and ended with a trophy. What more could you want? ;)

Ciao,
Tim

This season was a pretty good one reflecting back. I had too high expectations Mancini shouldn't have been expected to win the scudetto in his first year. As people had pointed out the first part of the season wasn't one to remember inconsistency and underacheiving. If the season would've started January 1 Inter would've claimed the 14th scudetto. We definetley grew as a team in the 2nd half of the season and winning the Coppa Italia is the symbol for the beginning of Inter's Regin over Italy and Europe(I hope :D :) )

First half was not to say horrible ... beacuse our team played an extra atack game ... and they scored 2-3 goals for match ... but also we acept a lot of goals ... it was also because of nonbalance ... our team had a revolutions and it's reasonable that we couldnt win Sccudeto ... but second half of season was i think the best in many years ... we won a lot of matches ... not many draws and just 2 lost games ... i cant say anything for CHL ... in both matches we were better than them ... but they had one Dida on goal ... so that's the point ...

i would rate Inter with a 9

It was pretty good in my point of view, we couldnt expect more. Before the season started we all said that we supported the long-term-project and that it wouldn't matter if we didn't win anything this season. I think it's even an extra that we won the Coppa, this was a building season and will give us more confidence for next year.

We did very well this season, IMO. We won the Coppa Italia, third in the Serie A. We certainly didn't deserve to lose against Milan in the CL match. And, fvck the Milan derbies! We defeated Juventus, who's the champions. :p

I'm content with this season. It's Mancini's first season, with a new team. After he get used to the team, and the team to him the performances get better. I hope we'll continue this rising line (don't know how to call in in english..) and get the first Scudetto in years.

I would like to compare us to Frank Rijkaard's Barcelona. They started very bad (we started moderate), played attacking football, and finally they became better and better, en in the second year they are the champions, with nice and attacking football. I hope we'll follow them.

I also hope that we can follow Barca's example and carry our form into next season. We def suffered when Mancini first joined, but in the second half of the season things came together and we even ended up with a trophy :star:

There are 2 kinds of people that will say we had a bad season:

Milanistas and Juventinos. Enough said.
