Today we had no senior team strikers on the bench and the only subs that could have legitimately made a difference were made.. The two situations are not even remotely comparable.

Milito, Palacio, Cassano... or Alvarez, Guarin... aren't defenders. Did we manage to successfully defend one mildly serious attack? Tonight? All season?
We need a full back... not some "wing back", "wide player" shit anymore, especially on the left! Zanetti can still do a pretty decent job as right back.

Juan is a beast. Many clubs would love to him. Rano started so brightly this season but has fallen back into bad habits the last few months. His agility, or lack thereof, really worries me going forward. I thought he was finally making the jump from underwhelming CD to one of the best in the country but that just simply isn't true at this point. Samuel, as much as I love the guy, is done. The constant devastating injuries has taken it's toll on him. There's no way his contract should be extended tbh

What a nice choking performance by us today, yes referee is shit but this is nothing new and its not why we lost today, we lost because we have a fucking fairy of a coach and players who cant do simple shit like pass to each other, make simple uncontested passes and put the ball across an open net.

Exactly, and Strama tries to mask this problem by playing 3 defenders. But instead of strengthening the defence, it further weakens it. Since that takes away a player from the midfield, and invites further attacks. Also there is no protection to our back 3. Gargano was terribly missed today. Kovacic's job is to create play, Guarin can't defend and Cambiasso is busy popping up in the box to support our strikers.

We're essentially playing 5 at the back and that fucks up the play ahead. The only players capable of keeping the ball are Kovacic and Cassano. All the rest keep losing it and our defence is always under pressure.

it wouldnt weaken it if strama was putting right players in right position. for example juan - samuel - capitano with cuchu - obi (when fit) in front of them wouldnt leave back 3 so exposed. instead strama is playing frog in back 3 which puts capitano in midfield and we all know result of such positioning
