We need a metronomic midfielder to supplement Kuzmanovic, because he certainly can't be a starter, and we don't have that in Kovacic.

I haven't seen either of them play, because I barely watch La Liga, but I was thinking more along the lines of Lucas Biglia.

Though it seems he's headed to Lazio.

I'm starting to think Biglia would do a great job for us.

In say a 3-5-1-1 type formation, taking a look at the center midfield:

Kovacic - DM (Nainggollan, M'vila?)
CM (metronomic)

So we need a defensive anchor in M'vila who mainly moves in the right central midfield, but not in such an advanced position, mainly getting the ball to Alvarez up front behind a central striker.

With these players that are all versatile, with the correct tactical instructions, it could be successful, but without them...

3-5-2 and its variations does not work well with Inter. All the formations I've made and I can see are quite shabby, plainly because we don't have the right type of players that the tactic would work well with.

What is a metronomic player???
I see you use that term in quite a few posts and have no idea what that means.

A metronomic player is a player who takes on the task of dictating the tempo of their teams passing game; someone who will keep their midfield ticking in proper rhythm during the possession or attacking phase of the game.

Basically, its just a fancy term for a regista.

Andrea Pirlo, Xavi, and Xabi Alonso are the best in this category.

I was kinda hoping to hit that 200 thank mark before I posted again (cause 333 posts and 200 thanks looks pretty), but that'd take too long and I'd miss too many fun conversations, so here I am. Anyway, onto more pressing matters...

My way of thinking is actually too revolutionary for the rest of the world. On one hand, adopting a new way of thinking would allow me to communicate with other people a bit more easily, but naw, can't do it.

Getting a bit more serious, what is it about Biglia that makes him such a "shit" player? Cause every time I've watched him, he's done his job perfectly fine. A player with the ability to win the ball and who can keep possession, and even create a chance every now and again. I see nothing wrong with him, and I think he'd do a good job in a 3 man midfield.
