i may be wrong but i think he's not been good at newcastle this year? I mean the side as a whole haven't been great, but I think santon has been a weak point of them?

I dont know what happened after Mourinho left. I hear rumours he started partying a lot? Or maybe it was the mentality issue Mourinho pulled him up on? But either way, he's not developing as people would have hoped when he first burst onto the scene for us.

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if Faraoni was the better prospect now.

watching him this season, we were definitely right to sell him. i really wanted him to succeed but he's taken several steps back since his break out season at Inter.

Well, it was expected tbh... Ive been saying that since his Inter days, and he hasn't improved his mentality a bit. One great game, usually in big games, and then he fails badly for the next 5.

He is mediocre as hell this season. last season he was inconsistent, but had some great games. This one, he has mediocre and shit ones. He misplaces lots of passes, loses too many balls, and brings pretty much nothing in attack, while in defense he is the same. Can guard the ball, intercepts well, but loses concentration too much and makes retarded mistakes because of it.

He was Newcastle worst player in the past few games, and isn't even called up in the last 2-3 games as well.

I'd welcome him back, but there's no point on re-signing him when we now have D'Ambrosio. If we sell Jonathan, than sure...but we really need someone better.
