This feels like a shot to the heart. I had been asking for him to go for the last 1/2 seasons, but this is really something.
Zanetti was one thing that I associated with football. Trophies, players, clubs, tactics come and go. But all my life one thing that was constant was him running up and down the pitch and being an impeccable gentleman throughout.
You deserved a better farewell for sure. They will never come like you again.

Not comparing any one here but there are few players I'm always used to watching since I started following the game.
Scholes, Beckham, Giggs, Zanetti, Totti, SAF, Xavi (rarely before 2006), Pirlo, Maldini, Del Piero and few other great players.
Almost all are gone and looks like Zanetti and Giggs are retiring this season. So when it comes to old school (not very old) only Pirlo and Totti are left.

Most Humorous MemberInter as a club would never directly and purposefully violate an FIGC officiated move like that. And Zanetti wouldn't want us (the club) to. The fans however may act on their own. Lazio's fans certainly would.

I want to see the capt armband on him for the last time. I want to see he finishes his last game. We can only sub him in the injury time second half to symbolize he is passing his legacy.
