It's really a co-ownership deal, listen to this guys we have the right to buy him back fixed at 14 million and if he's sold to a third party 50% of the fee goes to us.

I see someone posted the details already :p

10m for Bona and Duncan together.

Yeah I dont really rate duncan too highly but the repurchase has to be set at both of them as well. Also, it would be cool if we could enter obiang into the deal :epicwin:

I thought the point of extremely talent youth players was that you didn't have to spend 14 million euro?

For 2 million extra we got Shaqiri. Also as pointed out, he has as much chance starting ahead of Samp's strikers as he does here. If not more, I mean Osvaldo looks to be going and Palacio might be gone in the summer leaving just Icardi.

I can see this going very shittily.

Calm your tits people, have some peanut butter, take a breath.

The situation seems to be in Inter's favour still.
Samp is gonna sell Okaka as things stand while Eto'o is aging which means more chances for Bonazzoli. Furthermore, having a chance to learn from Eto'o who also just so happens to be a legend for Inter fans could prove to be a hidden treasure right there.

He turns out to be great, we get him back for a fee that does not seem to be high for great young strikers nowadays. He doesn't turn out to be great, no one wins.

It's not 14 million we'll have to spend... because we already got 7 million from him. In reality, we'll have to spend 7 million for bringing him back.

Yeah, loans are better because you don't pay anything, but not every team will take it from the ass to nurture a player and not get anything in exchange. We are talking about a team that's right now better positioned in the table than us with strikers that in long term won't compete with Bona (Eto'o has 1 year max of good football, Bergessio left, Okaka will leave). Only Muriel will trouble him with the starting spot. And if he manages to beat Muriel for that starting spot, then he definitely deserves to be bought for those 7 extra million, in my opinion.

And that 50% profit, if a Big Spender comes and offers 40 million for a possible wonderkid, is Grade A Business ladies and gentlemen, brought to you by Piero Ausilio and affiliates.

Will go on record saying this is a stupid deal if it indeed goes through. This is no way to develop players.

Also, see it this way... if they are paying 7 million for a 18 year old player, it's because they saw something from him that they want.

We're not talking about Chelsea or City or PSG... this is Samp and they value their 7 million and thought this through (I wanna think so). I'm pretty sure that Sinisa bought him because he saw something in him.

I'm reading now that the buy-back clause is actually incremental over three years: 10M during the first year, 12M during the second, and 14M during the third. Inter still receives 50% of any successive transfer fee. Bona stays on loan in Milan til June.

Great deal. Win, win, win situation this is. Beneficial to all.

And we also see something cause we put a protect clause like a buy back and 50% clause
What we dont have is a playing time for him to develop.. Classic but true..

Maybe he's not that good and we're cashing in while he's young enough to attract substantial offers.

The deal is incredibly good people, come on. We get a good sum, he gets playing time in a good team with a good coach and we have all the means to get him back later.

Ah, who am I fooling, of course we'll find a way to fuck it up :troll:

The worst case scenario is that kid somehow explodes in the next 5 months and Inter decides that they want to keep him immediately. That would result in a total loss of 3m because it would mean Sampdoria just earned 3m without even opening a locker room cabinet for him.

Well, hope that's the case. Even better.

Hardly.

The worst case scenario is something like this.

15/16, Bonazzoli goes on loan to Serie B. He impresses, but doesn't stun. Scored a dozen, maybe more, goals.
16/17, Bonazzoli is on the fringe of the first team. He plays, and scores a decent amount for a sub striker, maybe 5-10.
17/18, Bonazzoli is the bona fide starter. He scores 10-13 goals in a real sign of potential, but for his age is considered behind Balotelli or Destro at the same age.

Then Juve come in, and offer 15mil for him.

He hasn't been good enough clear cut that Inter will spend 14 million euros to sign him - but he's on the right path to a good career. It is still a risk, though.

Do we take the 7.5mil, or do we spend 14?

That's the worst case scenario. If he's a clear cut success or failure, it's trivial and obvious. If he's still interesting but not exploded, then we're in a real fucking hard place.

I don't like it. I rather have a straight loan.
