I've never rated him high and I am very pessimistic about him.

Truly speaking I rate Ricky higher than him.

Hope he can prove me wrong tho.

he has great chem with jojo which im excited to see. ljajic is a phenomenally talented player. hes not undisciplined or a bad apple or anything like that, its more that he hasnt shown the hunger to succeed, hasnt taken the necessary sacrifice to become a top player. if mancini thinks he can knock it into him then we will have a steal on our hands. if not... then it wont be good when you factor in how much money we have spentoverrall.

after 120 mill, mancini has no excuses now.

Benvenuto Adem, good luck and may you win with INTER shirt many trophies.

I am actually happier with Ljajić than Eder! Sure he has a big ego and wants to stand out and have special status, but we can always ship him back! Plus his potential is bigger given his excellent technique [long shots, set pieces, passing]. I don't think Mancini wanted Eder to start, so splashing 12-13m on a 29-year old sub doesn't sound that smart, but Ljajić has a long future ahead with higher ceiling + resale value argument!

PS: He is also a muslim.

I hope his fate will be different from the Shaqiri's!Because I see many similarities in both deals.

I agree that his indolence and lack of hunger are exactly what prevent him to take "that" step.
Partially wasted talent and who knows if his attitude can improve, but well, potential is there (with an option to buy).

On a side note, about the extra spice to the derby... Ljajic was temporarily dropped off the Serbian National Team because he refused to sing the national anthem out of personal (religious) beliefs.
He's a "Slav Muslim from southern Serbia's ethnically mixed region of Sandzak bordering Bosnia and Montenegro"... probably enough said.
Especially if the coach who set the rules at the time and called Ljajic disrespectful was Mihailovic, a man who proudly paid a tribute to the Tiger of Arkan together with Lazio Fans.
I don't know if Ljajic is aware of all of this correlations...something that (ideally) should stay out of the field, but still, this is football and external implications are inevitable.

The most intriguing aspect of having Ljajić, is the chemistry between him and Jovetić. I would like to see how that pans out.

Just like how Mkhitaryan will most likely be banned from entering azerbaijan when BVB are visiting...

Nice signing. We definitely bolstered our foward line with him Perisic and Jovetic.

Wondering though why Roma would let him go to a direct rival for so cheap.

He's kind of a panic buy.I think we were after more hardworking wingers who could be more suited to 4-2-3-1 like Perotti, but in the end we opted for him due to the failure to sign others.
