One nil to the Arsenal!
One nil to the Arsenal!

Oh wait

6 of our 7 wins this season are 1-0s  Not that I mind, I absolutely love a clean sheet. Fantastic job by the boys, although Roma probably deserve to score at least one. I don't think our defenders were that solid, Roma had a host of chances but a goalkeeper is part of the defence (duh) and Handoyovic had a blinder.

Nagatomo is the MOTM to me. He stop Salah twice in the 2nd half which is critical and also his clearance resulted in Pjanic's send off.

I don't care what the haters say, that was a tactical masterclass beautifully executed by the players. We changed our entire tactical set up to stop Roma, and it worked!

- We sat deep instead of our usual higher defensive line
- we used wingers as false wing backs to double up on Salah/Gervinho - this was key.
- we had a mobile forward to give Roma no reference points in attack
- It was 4-5-1, a perfect line up to counter attack instead of our usual attempt at possession play.

And a great result too. This is like a bonus 3 points that we never expected. Keeping Roma from not scoring is a FUCKING BIG DEAL!

I am still :fap:

lol. so typical of you backing up your claims by saying the commentator said the same thing.

Their entire team didn't stand out? lol. Their defence was content with our attack. We almost didn't even penetrate into their box. If their defence was non-existence, then our strikers were really sucks which agreed to my opinion that we had no attacking plans whatsoever and we won mostly due to Roma poor performance. Midfield is the balance in the team. Most of the times when your midfield is disjointed, you won't have a good game. Roma did that and our players took advantage of them.

Our wings were attacking much more in the first half. Maicon had Ljajic in his ball sack all game long. Perisic as he usually did, just didn't perform. I don't know why you said our wings were defending when Brozovic and Guarin were having fun in the midfield. The amount of space Brozovic had tonight was unbelievable.

It's true we defended well but if it wasn't for Handanovic we would have another Fiorentina.

First, I didn't say commentator but experts brought in the studio. There is a big difference.

Second, how is that typical of me? when have I ever tried to back up my claim by saying "the commentator said the same thing".

Third, so typical of you trying to win an argument by making up lies...

Fourth, Stop the pathetic attempts.

That (Perisic & Ljajic running hard) was tactical, and thats what I meant by using wingers as false wing backs to double up on Salah/Gervinho - this was key to our win. We neutralised Salah, and also gave Gervinho a harder time which made the difference - he would have killed us on that form otherwise. Perisic, Ljajic and even Jovetic sacrificed themselves for the team, which is great to see.

Brozovic, you gotta admire his work ethic.

Second, how isthat rypical of me? when have I ever tried to back up my claim by saying "the commentator said the samething".

It is true though, a few of your posts had something along the lines of 'and experts at the studio think the same' as support or something to actually credit your opinion! which honestly I think is stupid. These "experts" are dumber than dumb ex footballers who really know nothing about tactics. The ex Italian Inter player talks out of his ass most of the time and I like the ex Udi Egyptian but he is no expert either and I disagree with most of the gibberish they say.

It is not just the Arabic beIN studio, most studios around the world are shit, yes shit, and they try to bring ex players who are thick but appealing to the regular football fan (the seasonal ticket holders I'd guess). People care more about star power than intelligent insights that we, the fans, wouldn't know about coming from the outside. Sky Sports is a joke too, haven't watched them in ages but Shearer was one of the worst so called analysts I've seen. Fuckin Proper Football Man bullshit the lot of them (tough players with -1 intelligence)

Through my years of watching football TV coverage I have only liked 2 people that I could think of right now (and whom I would actually use to support my claim, even though I don't do that) James Richardson, the one who used to do Football Italia I think in the 90s on Channel 4, I love him to death, very smart, funny and actually knows his European football and not only English football (currently works with BT Sports). The other is ex Saudi player Nawaf Al toumiat.

Show me those few post where I backed up my claim by using experts. I honestly want to know since when it is typical of me to use experts opinion.

Also, you just completely discredited yourself by saying "most studios around the world are shit". Since I'm pretty sure you don't know most of the studios around the world, you are just making shit up.

Particularly praiseworthy as this was done without our best midfielder, our most prololific striker or our two starting wingbacks (so far this season).

Downloaded the game and watched it. :epicwin: Mancini knew how to get ready for Roma and he did.

Handanović plays like a champ right now.

We still have problems in our midfield, which was to be expected against such opposition even more. Winning now that they have an important CL match was good for us, we seized the opportunity which matters a lot.

Pjanić missing one game is also great for us :eek:blivious:

Also, what was that in attack? Our passing is shit.

As long as we collect 3 points I couldn't careless how we look ;);)

You can believe that as much as you want, I wouldn't say that after what happened in Strama's season. We still suffer a bit too much for my liking.

I was there, it was absolutely one of the best experiences of my life.

Great job tactically by Mancini to block off Roma on the wings, we made some mistakes in midfield but I'm still ecstatic.

Brozovic was beastly if he could have quicker decision making then he'd be a complete player.

Hahah I've always thought that about his posts. It used to piss me off so much because as a Bein viewer I know the idiots he referred to as experts. Especially their refereeing "expert".
