^saw those pics of de Boer running his first training session, taking notes on his notepad. Presumably he's written down the names of all the players and writing his first impressions next to their names.

-Icardi: prick
-Santon: shit
-Namagoto: lol
-Ranocchia: ultrashit

Tomorrow's training session will be held behind closed doors by the request of the technical staff.

I'm telling you, he's gonna beat up Icardi with a stick in front of the others - to show him his place.

Now we know two people who beat him up with a stick to show dominance..

Wow: Kia Joorabchian is already exerting his influence at Inter, as demonstrated by the appointment of his client Frank De Boer.

And then he'll pee on Icardi to assert his dominance.

Really hope FDB does well here but I'm skeptical.

To me, relative to building a team that regularly qualifies for CL and makes knockout stages within our budget, I don't think he's a step up from Mancini. I don't think De Boer's coaching makes it probable enough for us to make those objectives. From my perspective as a fan, there were better options and FDB isn't good enough for us.

Having a "philosophy" isn't enough to convince me that he's a good pick. Mazzarri also had an incredibly well defined philosophy. Gasperini has a well defined philosophy. Van Gaal has a well defined philosophy. Bielsa has a well defined philosophy. And I don't see any of those coaches building a team that regularly qualifies for CL within our budget.

From the Ajax I have seen over the last 2 years, I'm not happy about this but at the same time I haven't seen Ajax enough to make a confident assessment. And who knows, even if he hasn't shown the right coaching for us at Ajax, doesn't mean he won't show the right coaching for us here.

Joraabchian is just an advisor, he isn't in any way part of Inter management. Let's hope Suning won't listen to him too much as the guy would make us waste much money.

Edit: oops, wrong thread.

Really dude? :palm:

Why not? I've seen a reasonable amount of Ajax games under De Boer but I don't watch Ajax regularly per se.

You made an assessment: "I don't see him "succeeding" here."

And then said, "I haven't seen Ajax enough to make a confident assessment."

If you watched Klopp in his last season at Dortmund you'd get a very different impression than someone who watched Klopp over his last 4 years at Dortmund. If you watched Bielsa's last 6 months at Marseille you'd get a very different impression than someone who watched him in his first 6 months. Even if you watched Mazzarri or Stramaccioni in their first few months, I feel you'd get a different impression than watching them in their last few months here.

Don't take everything word by word and make things black and white. I also changed my wording to be clearer, after all "successful" is a vague word. I personally don't have total confidence in any assessment if I only watch a player for 15 games or so, the same goes for a coach. That doesn't mean I can't make an assessment based on what I've seen.

You are free to make whatever assessment you want, but why bother if you yourself don't feel confident about that assessment? It is like the people who talk about what they would do as manager when they haven't even coached recreational football before.

Actually never mind. If all those people stopped posting, there would be no forum!

Don't know the state of the Dutch league but keeping a team motivated for four years and winning four titles in a row is no easy feat.

He was also on the bench when the Dutch NT reached the final of the world cup in 2010.

I think he has a lot of experience to deal with the pressure here.It also seems he is not dogmatic about a 4-3-3 which is great and will prefer a 4-2-3-1 which was what Mancini and the mgmt. had in mind for the upcoming season and so I am optimistic about our chances under him.

Because I think most people in my place would feel confident about making that assessment, and I feel there's a high probability of me having the same assessment even if I watched Ajax every week for the last 2 years vs the 15-20 games I have seen. At the same time there are always lots of improbabilities that can come into play. Eg. how he adapts to a new league.

I'm also not quite sure what our financial resources are so it might not even matter relative to our goal of making 3rd and De Boer's tactics.
