10 years of FIFComparing De Boer with other "no name" coaches from Inter like Ranieri or Strama.. its bullshit. We have more money and much better players now. Most of them played at last 2 years togehter. So De Boer cant say "its a new team" like Mancini said after the first Season.
We should get CL or at last fight for it. If Inter managed to get at last fourth and is tactical good, he can stay. But if that really should end worse, its just unlucky. Mancini had really much options in the Mercato. He managed to get good players but tactial it was bad. There are no exuses to defend him... same thing for De Boer, if things dont will work.

My initial gut feeling is we should have gone for Pellegrini or Blanc, but who knows, sometimes you have to take gambles because they just might pay off. He's a young hungry manager with a winning CV, there are certainly worse options. He may not have proven he's a top level coach yet, but he certainly hasn't proven he's not, and right now no truly top level manager is going to come to Inter. I actually give Thohir credit for what is certainly a ballsy move.

Welcome Frank, as a Dutchman I am very excited about this. Not so much because I expect immediate succes. I actually think it is quite a big risk they took by choosing a completely inexperienced coach like De Boer. However, if he manages to adapt to Italian football and implements his vision with succes, I think we have a coach who can truly build something for the upcoming years. He likes to play possession football, knows how to implement youth players very well (and also has the balls to actually play them) and has a realistic view on things (he keeps his calm, doesn't go all crazy and knows when he fucked up). Also I think he is an excellent motivator, though some players may not like his Dutch direct approach.
He will need his time though, but I am already looking forward to the start of the season.

First part he explains which players are allowed to be around/in the box during attack which is all but the two central defenders, the defending midfielder and one back (the other back is giving the cross, in this case the left back).
Second half he explains what should happen if an attack fails and the ball goes to the other team. He says that a high line of defense puts pressure on the attacking team, thereby allowing the right back to immediately take back the ball from the left winger and participate in a new attack. This should also force the opponents left winger to track back and defend against the upcoming right back. Conclusion: high pressure when losing the ball in order to regain possession ASAP, as Barcelona always does.
