Does anyone know what the sponsorshi0 and revenue boost is for us? I thought some of our self sponsors were quite generous such as 10m if we make the CL? The kitty could add up to 60 or 70 quite easily I guess
Piero Ausilio, Inter's sports director, spoke in a very general way about 40 million euro of admissions compared to the Europa League; the site Calcioefinanza.it in the meantime offers a detailed projection of what could be the new revenue for Corso Vittorio Emanuele, this while waiting for the UEFA to define the details of the breakdown for the three-year period 2018/21. The qualification will affect two budgets: on one hand, the one that will close on June 30th 2018 due to the different bonuses, on the other hand, above all for the 2018/19 year. Starting from the sponsorship bonuses for the 2017/18 financial year, from € 150 thousand to € 100 thousand guaranteed by Volvo and BWin, the largest figures should come from the agreement with Suning for the naming rights of Pinetina and the training uniforms, which should guarantee at least three million more despite the bonus figure is not indicated.
The biggest impact, though, will be for the next season. The Nanjing group guarantees bonuses starting from the qualification to the knockout phase, from 3.5 million if the Nerazzurri will stay in the top four before the winter break, up to 5 million in the event of a final. Bonuses also provided in the contracts of Nike and Pirelli (in the latter case, they can reach up to 13 million euros), while achieving the qualification in the Champions League for two consecutive years will trigger a 10% bonus in the contract with Beijing Yixinshijie Culture Development which would guarantee a good 33 million net. The biggest part, however, remain the Uefa prizes: will increase from 12.7 to 15 million the bonus for the only qualification to the group stage of the Champions League (the final would guarantee 15, the title even 19), a figure to which will be added the prizes for the historical ranking: the latter, if the anticipations of a few weeks ago were confirmed, could be worth over 20 million. Last, and interesting projection, is that linked to the market pool: that should fall in the overall incidence but that could get to guarantee 82 million net.
And this is based on what we already have in place. I read that Suning is working on a couple of more sponsorship deals:
UEFA have requested to see further documentation from Inter with regard to sponsorship from a related party according to a report from Calcioefinanza.it. The Nerazzurri hierarchy are confident that they have followed the correct protocol and have no worries about European football’s governing body wanting to look at extra documentation.
In particular UEFA are looking to examine the naming rights deals Suning signed for the training grounds of both the first team and youth teams. They have requested the further documentation to completely clarify the trade relations with China.
Said agreements were signed to help aid Inter’s financial fair play woes last summer and raise some all important funds and Suning could very well rely on signing more sponsorship deals to help out again this summer with financial fair play still affecting the Nerazzurri. In fact, Corriere della Sera report that Suning are currently working on securing three more sponsorship deals from their native China.
