Does anyone know what the sponsorshi0 and revenue boost is for us? I thought some of our self sponsors were quite generous such as 10m if we make the CL? The kitty could add up to 60 or 70 quite easily I guess

I think Suning definitely have a bonus (as sponsor) since we made it to the CL.

I really hope for the sake of us, we don't make the same mistake we made back in 2010. We were so happy with CL win, that we barely made any changes to the squad, that it bit us in the ass.

This is a chance to show that we've learned from our mistakes. Forget the result. This team needs a redoing from the top down.

it doesnt need major changes

handanovic
skrinniar
cancelo
brozovic
rafinha
perisic
icardi

7 starters for sure next year if we make loans permanent

the rest can be taken up by existing staff like

dalbert
gagliardini
valero
vecino
candreva
miranda
ranocchia
karamoah
d'ambrosino

and we would still tick along fine, we should have donetop 4 comfortably this year after all

new signings wise we already have de vrij in and asaomoah & martinez looks likely. thats cb and lb and bakc up st sorted

leaves us with 2 cms and a winger needed imo

out:

nagatomo
d'ambrosino(unless used a sback up)
kondogbia
eder
santon

wishlist in;

2x cm : vidal, naingolin, ramires,keep kondobia,fabinho,kante
winger:martial,fekir,brandt......bale

so to sumamrise alot of business done already. might be a case of 4 out 3 or 4 in

€60-70m sounds possible. I suspect a lot of our Chinese "sponsorship" deals are just a mechanism for Suning to get around the FFP clauses, just like a lot of other clubs do it (PSG, City etc who do the same in a much bigger scale). So it boils down to what Suning can justify to UEFA as a reasonable sponsorship deal from related parties. Now with CL, Suning can possibly justify the doubling of sponsorship deals due to the added exposure. So the ball is in Suning's court now, they can do pretty much what they want.

Piero Ausilio, Inter's sports director, spoke in a very general way about 40 million euro of admissions compared to the Europa League; the site Calcioefinanza.it in the meantime offers a detailed projection of what could be the new revenue for Corso Vittorio Emanuele, this while waiting for the UEFA to define the details of the breakdown for the three-year period 2018/21. The qualification will affect two budgets: on one hand, the one that will close on June 30th 2018 due to the different bonuses, on the other hand, above all for the 2018/19 year. Starting from the sponsorship bonuses for the 2017/18 financial year, from € 150 thousand to € 100 thousand guaranteed by Volvo and BWin, the largest figures should come from the agreement with Suning for the naming rights of Pinetina and the training uniforms, which should guarantee at least three million more despite the bonus figure is not indicated.

The biggest impact, though, will be for the next season. The Nanjing group guarantees bonuses starting from the qualification to the knockout phase, from 3.5 million if the Nerazzurri will stay in the top four before the winter break, up to 5 million in the event of a final. Bonuses also provided in the contracts of Nike and Pirelli (in the latter case, they can reach up to 13 million euros), while achieving the qualification in the Champions League for two consecutive years will trigger a 10% bonus in the contract with Beijing Yixinshijie Culture Development which would guarantee a good 33 million net. The biggest part, however, remain the Uefa prizes: will increase from 12.7 to 15 million the bonus for the only qualification to the group stage of the Champions League (the final would guarantee 15, the title even 19), a figure to which will be added the prizes for the historical ranking: the latter, if the anticipations of a few weeks ago were confirmed, could be worth over 20 million. Last, and interesting projection, is that linked to the market pool: that should fall in the overall incidence but that could get to guarantee 82 million net.

And this is based on what we already have in place. I read that Suning is working on a couple of more sponsorship deals:

UEFA have requested to see further documentation from Inter with regard to sponsorship from a related party according to a report from Calcioefinanza.it. The Nerazzurri hierarchy are confident that they have followed the correct protocol and have no worries about European football’s governing body wanting to look at extra documentation.

In particular UEFA are looking to examine the naming rights deals Suning signed for the training grounds of both the first team and youth teams. They have requested the further documentation to completely clarify the trade relations with China.

Said agreements were signed to help aid Inter’s financial fair play woes last summer and raise some all important funds and Suning could very well rely on signing more sponsorship deals to help out again this summer with financial fair play still affecting the Nerazzurri. In fact, Corriere della Sera report that Suning are currently working on securing three more sponsorship deals from their native China.

Absolute madman, really aiming for the sky there:

Inter President Erick Thohir claims ‘now we want the Champions League semi-finals’ after singling out the club’s ‘220m fans in China’.

Inter ended a seven-year absence from the Champions League on Sunday as they pulled off a dramatic 3-2 victory over Lazio, and Thohir wasted no time in setting the bar high.

“The objective was to return to the Champions League within five years and we’ve succeeded in doing so,” he told republika.co.id.

“Now we want the semi-finals and to reach it, we’ll stick with Luciano Spalletti. We’ll try to satisfy his needs and keep the players that are necessary for him.

“We’ll strengthen by adding players and, of course, investing in the club. Inter’s success is to have players, coaches and executives who share the same vision and collaborate together.

“Thanks to Inter’s 220m fans in China, we’re working with Suning. Inter’s revenues are constantly growing and we’ve hit €220m.

“After entering the Champions League, that figure will certainly exceed €300m.”

I'm happy if we don't go out at the group stages
I assume we are unseeded which means two top teams... we are gonna have to play really well to get out of the group

We're going to have to hope we draw some of the easier top seeds, like the Russian league champion or Porto.

I'm pretty sure I read reports that said many of the suning sponsorships already included deals for CL qualification etc

Just in case people have missed it, here is a detailed report.

How much is Champions League qualification really worth? Piero Ausilio, Inter’s sporting director, spoke about it in a very general way saying that it will be around 40 million euros. Calcio e Finanza, in the meantime, offers a detailed projection of what could be the new revenue of Inter while waiting for UEFA to define the details of the breakdown for three-year period from 2018 to 2021. CL qualification will affect two budgets: the one that will close on June 30th this year due to different bonuses and the other is for the 2018-2019.

Let’s start from bonuses from sponsorship for the 2017-2018 financial year, from 150 to 100 thousand guaranteed by Volvo and BWin, the largest figures should come from the agreement with Suning for the naming rights of Pinetina and on the training shirt which should guarantee at least three million despite the bonus figure is not indicated.

The biggest impact though will be for next season. The Nanjing group guarantees bonuses starting from the qualification to the knockout phase, 3.5 million if Inter stay in the top four before the winter break and 5 million if there is another top four finish. Bonuses also provided in the contracts with Nike and Pirelli (the latter can go up to 13 million euros) while achieving Champions League qualification for two consecutive years will trigger a 10% bonus in the contract with Beijing Yixinshijie Culture Development which guarantees a very good 33 million net.

And now comes UEFA prizes which will go from 12.7 to 15 million in bonuses for qualification to the CL group stage (15 to the final and 19 if you win it all), a figure to which will be added the prizes of historical ranking which could reach up to 20 million.

Finally, an interesting projection, is that linked to the market pool that could guarantee Inter 82 million net.

1. Why De Vrij didn't let a ball or two in
2. Rocchi didn't give a penalty for SMS ?handball

It wasn't a handball. He did make a move with his arm but the ball hit his shoulder, closer to his body than his arm. The Radu one that Icardi was calling for was more of a PK but it'd also be very strict. The one we got was legit.
And de Vrij played great last night.

I know it wasn't a handball. Hence the "?" and the question was what we'd discuss had we not qualified.
