INTER BUM BUM

  • Two signings requested by Luciano Spalletti are coming.
  • Vrsaljko is acquired, Vidal is just one step away.
  • To Atletico Madrid is 6.5 million for the loan and 17.5 for the redemption of the Croatian.
  • Same formula with Bayern: 20 million in total and three-year contract to Arturo.

INTER UNLEASHED: VRSALJKO SIGNED, AND NOW VIDAL

  • Sime is an Inter player as Atletico Madrid accepted the latest increase.
  • The right back is coming for 24 million total (6.5 immediately). Tomorrow is medical
  • Arturo is one step away: Bayern have said yes, this deal is worth 20 million euros.
  • There is an opening for loan with option: per the Chilean, three-year contract is ready worth 4.5 million a season.
The right wing of Inter now has its master, one that is at a very high level. Inter have closed the deal for Sime Vrsaljko, the club’s top choice: another vice-champion of the World Cup is coming. Sime will play together with Perisic and Brozovic with whom just over two weeks ago, he was one step away from an incredible feat.

Agreement with Atletico Madrid was found yesterday evening: a loan with option to buy (this formula is a must due to UEFA FFP) for a total of 24 million. Inter started with an offer of 22 million, the Colchoneros, after the World Cup, re-evaluated Sime’s overall value and demanded 30. The agreement was found with probably the last increase that Inter were willing to do: loan for 6.5 million and option to buy at 17.5.

DESIRE - Inter have closed this operation thanks to the will of the player which has given the Italian club so much momentum. At first, it seemed very complicated because the desire of Atletico Madrid was to sell Vrsaljko outright and for the reluctance of Diego Simeone to sell the player. But now, the coach will have Arias from PSV and so his club is convinced to accept the formula of “deferred payment” and Sime is satisfied: he will return to Italy where he arrived in the summer of 2013 from Dinamo Zagreb. He then spent three seasons here between Genoa and Sassuolo (79 appearances). Inter project convinced him, Brozovic and Perisic did the rest of it.

WORLD CUP - The Croatian newspapers recently started to call him “Escobar” for his hair full of gel and a very “South American” mustache. Vrsaljko certainly did not have his best season with Atletico but with his national team’s checkered shirt, he showed why Simeone invested 16 million in him two summers ago. At the World Cup, he allowed Inter fans to see a glimpse of what he is capable of especially in the semifinal against England. He crossed the ball in for Perisic for the equalizer and saved Stones’ header right on the goal line. Connection with the forward, making plays in the midfield, attention in defense: that is everything you could possibly want from your starting fullback.

In addition, there is also his character, demonstrated by not backing away from anyone and when needed, he did even have some decisive stops. Even outside the field. After beating Messi, he said that “I saw the Argentinians falling to the ground and crying like girls.” Words that were not taken well in Buenos Aires but maybe his new captain, Mauro Icardi, will not mind because he was excluded from that group.

NUMBERS - Sime turned 26 years old in January and in Russia, he had the most crosses out of anyone with 34. A fundamental style of play for Inter, one that last year was very important. He also perfected his defensive abilities which were already naturally good. The 68.8 kilometers ran in six World Cup games confirmed that he is a true runner. Vrsaljko also had 12 interceptions showing the ability to read the opponents.

His signing completes Inter defense now have three top central defenders, Asamoah on the left, D’Ambrosio is now the first to come off the bench for the fullbacks (he can play on both sides). In case of a three-man defense, the Croatian can play as a right midfielder but in emergency situation, he can also be a right winger (Gasperini used him there at Genoa).*

IN MILAN TODAY - Vrsaljko could already arrive in Milan this evening to have medical tomorrow. Then he will go back to vacation for a few more days and then return to Spalletti and Inter only during the week of August 6th, like his national teammates. Between an unexpected World Cup final and a wanted return to Italy, it was a short and very busy summer for Vrsaljko.

38152765_1608428785949459_4274798000728965120_o.jpg

VIDAL - One V leads to another. Because Monday July 30th is not just the day when Atletico Madrid said yes for Vrsaljko. Arturo Vidal has never been this close to Inter. There is no problem trying to convince the Chilean because he has already agreed to join the club. The big news is that Bayern Munich are showing positive signals on sending Vidal to Inter on loan with option to buy, the formula of the summer for Inter. Most of the work is done, the road ahead is a downhill one. The overall cost of this transaction ranges between 18-20 million euros, depending on how much money Inter will want to put on the* plate immediately for the loan. This is an absolutely sustainable figure for Inter, certainly a lot less than the 30 million figure circulated initially.

THE SITUATION - In order to finalize this deal, there is still something missing. Basically, it is just a technical step, namely that Vidal takes advantage of this unilateral option that allows him to extend contract with Bayern until 2020, compared to the current agreement which expires in 2019. Only in this way, it becomes possible for the transfer on loan with option to buy, the only feasible option for Inter management as they are still limited by UEFA FFP rules and regulations.

It is not an obstacle because Vidal has said yes to the Nerazzurri, did so a couple of weeks ago during a meeting in Frankfurt between sporting director Piero Ausilio and his agent Fernando Felicevich. The Chilean will sign a three-year deal for 4.5 million euros per season, much less than the 7 million that he makes with Bayern Munich. His will has never been in question. What partly surprised Inter was the openness of the German club to do this deal on loan. In the last few days, the Nerazzurri were quite pessimistic because they were facing an outright sale for Vidal. This scenario has changed almost very suddenly. The latest assessments are exactly meeting Inter’s conditions, the best way that Inter can get their hands on the midfielder.

STRENGTH - Spalletti can smile because one year later, he is about to find himself both players that he was chasing last summer in Vidal and Nainggolan. The former Juventus player is training by himself in Munich, recovering a knee injury suffered in April, the second in the same leg in 2014. With him, Inter will have another multi-purpose midfielder on the field. The Nerazzurri will be in a safer position should any offer arrive for Vecino or Gagliardini. Their sale could open more space for a new player but this is really a story of the end of the transfer window.

in goal we have a beast that can dribble forwards like Morata lol,nah we all know Handa can win you games with crucial saves...
in df we have Brazil's captain(nuff said),a Slovak talent that every major club would want bad,a Dutch CB that is one of the best in Serie A.
in mediana we have a guy with lungs ready to play 3 games in a row without stop,a Chilean warrior who can score and tackle.A World cup cross king on the right.
A Belgian/Indonesian warrior with a sick rocket launcher in his legs,a guy who is now known by everyone who likes football because of his great games in WC(Ivanee),a kid that is praised by all Argentinian football experts and is compared to Tevez,Aguero,Dybala but is his own man anyway...
a 25 year old Capocannoniere and Captain of this guys.

sounds fucking awesome doesn't it?!

I told you Inter is returning to former glory with Spallo,I said it the first day I knew the magician from Certaldo joined us,he will make Inter great again!
I admit...I didn't expect CL in his first season here, after the Chinese restrictions came in to play...we had some luck getting in tbh. However I still think Spallo made some miracle work to get us in eventually!
but with Suning's deep pocket backing, via sponsorship's ofc(they make so much money it's insane, and Alibaba backing hopefully) we could become...unstoppable very soon, the potential in this new Inter is unlimited
I know the treble was the highest point but if we can manage to get to higher levels again...to be constant threat in CL...that would be even better than the LGI from 2010.Well the 2010 was top thing but it's in the past and we need to look in to the future...and after a decade of stagnation it's time to return to the top...
Having a constant and balanced participation in the 1/4 of CL or higher...to be a threat to a Barca,Real,City,Rube,Bayern...that should be our goal, long term

Radja,Vidal,Miranda,Perisc are not youngsters but if we add youngsters like Martinez,Karamoah,Skriniar and I dunno Barella,Chiesa(next season?) to ease their transition to bigger things with the help of the experienced lads...I like what this club is doing...finally,after years of previous mgmt's fuck ups...

Even Ausilio is bossing now after I already gave up on him in 2016...

other teams in CL will start taking us seriously again...

This is just great that we have the option to change to 3-man defence and thus change the formation and game plan. It's just a switch of 1-2 players (De Vrij<->Asamoah and possibly Lautaro<->Politano) and we're set from 3-5-2 to 4-3-3 (or 4-2-3-1 whatever). And with the quality not dropping, which is the actual point of my post. :D

We will have 5 new players on the pitch either with 3-5-2 or 4-2-3-1. Especially the right half will be consisted of newcomers which is logical.

Vidal's age bothers me. The most recent reports say we will have obligation to sign him after his loan spell when he'll be 32.

Mourinho is indeed outdated. It's just def def def for him without any kind of offensive schemes planned. Pass.

spalletti being a loser and upping 7 in the ass in CL doesnt mean that he is attacking manager with attractive beautiful gameplay.

what bothers me is Bayern are good at getting rid of players who are basically write offs (see schweinsteiger)

The Cold War is over, let them celebrate it for as long as they want.

BAD BOYS

  • Incredible strength and gentle feet.
  • This is how Inter will design the winning triangle.
We imagine it like this, just like a joke in Martin Scorsese’s masterpiece. “One day, some of the kids from the neighborhood carried my mother's groceries all the way home. You know why? It was outta respect.” Here: perhaps you will not get to the point of “Goodfellas” but facing the Inter midfield, looking at those gangster faces of Vidal, Brozovic and Nainggolan, the opponents will have to back off. Arturo, Marcelo and Radja have a lot in common. But if we want to go beyond the personality factor - which Spalletti considers a central element -, the three give Inter a midfield department that is capable of withstanding any kind of impact. It’s like doing laps on the field: from goals to assist to tackles to shots on goal and everything repeats. These three midfielders do everything.

PROFILES - Strong, bad boys, ready, multi-purpose. There is not one of these men who is not able to interpret the role of a midfielder in at least two different ways, central or finisher, mediator or attacker. You put them on the field wherever you want and they do their job. This is the characteristic that Spalletti really likes. On Vidal, Inter have been reassured from the physical point of view but of course the club must still wait to verify it on the field. The Chilean was operated in April on his right knee and last season in Bundesliga, he only played 17 out of 32 matches (22 appearances overall). Spalletti is waiting for him with open arms, to give quality and quantity to a midfield that last year often gave the initiative to the opponents. The lack of strength and force, as well as personality, was a defect that the coach identified loud and clear in his first year at Inter. These problems can now be overcome with these players here to command the game. Of course, managing these men with strong character is something very delicate. Maybe it is necessary to “cuddle” them, maybe even to sleep with them just like Spalletti did with Ninja when they were in training camp at Roma. But on the field, it would be best to leave them alone. The numbers and statistics are there and they guarantee an upgrade for Inter. Just to give you an idea: Nainggolan, Vidal and Brozovic, in their Italian career, have had more tackles and shots on goal (on average) than the Inter midfield last season. Vidal is the number one in goals scored and for tackles won, Nainggolan instead is top when it comes to ball recoveries.

POSITION - Let’s imagine how Spalletti can arrange them on the field: with the 4-2-3-1 formation, Vidal would play alongside Brozovic, in the same position that he played in Munich. Let’s not rule out that the Chilean’s arrival would not push Spalletti towards the back three. And maybe in certain games and in certain situations, Spalletti could decide to go for Vidal and Nainggolan in the trequartista position supporting Icardi. It should be said that the player that will get the most benefits from this new midfield is the one and only Mauro Icardi because last season, he only received support from the wings. Here, with these three gentle-footed midfielders, more support will be centralized. Ultimately, it will also be difficult to score against Inter. These are three gangsters who, never need an addition of motivation, will take revenge against Juventus: Brozovic on the field, Vidal against their management and Nainggolan is against their fans. The goal is to excel in the league and who wouldn’t like this ingredient that Inter are putting together?

99% DONE - When Arturo Vidal makes a decision, he is not one who loves to wait too long. Six months ago, he decided to get his whole back tattooed. And he did not want to hear reasons against it, even from the tattoo artist himself. “I did it, but it was not advisable during the season.” Now, however, he will need a bit more patience: just a matter of days, at least. The Warrior has chosen Inter and Inter have found an agreement with Bayern Munich, the deal is done at 99%. Some details are missing, there are no signatures and so we have to wait. Arturo’s contract expires in 2019 which would make it impossible to get him on loan with option to buy, the only possible form of transaction due to UEFA FFP. The player, however, has an unilateral option to extend his contract to 2020 and by exercising it, he has unlocked everything. This deal will happen but a few more days are needed but again, negotiation will come to a definitive end. In fact, the Bavarians are in a hurry to close. Their season will start on August 24th but the market will remain open until the 31st. However, Bayern are used to acting with certain diligence. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, CEO of the club, has been very clear: “We have one or two extra midfielders and we will work to sell them.” After the initial gap between offer and demand, there is now an agreement with the German club for 20 million euros in total, to the player is a three-year deal at 4.5 million per season (pay cut for Vidal who makes 7 at Bayern Munich). A few details still need to be finalized, similar to finishing a tattoo. The 31-year-old will leave Bayern after three seasons to come back to Italy after leaving the country in 2015, after winning the Copa America with Chile.

FORBIDDEN DREAM - The arrival of King Arthur (Arturo Vidal) should close the Inter transfer market but as long as his signature is not on the contract, there is a chance for something else to happen. For weeks now, on social media, there have been so much talks of a Mr. X for Spalletti’s midfield. Among the more or less imaginative hypotheses, the suggestion of Luka Modric has also appeared. The Golden Ball winner of the World Cup has now entered negotiation with Inter perhaps because of the colony of Croatians increasing in size and perhaps due to the player’s desire to “change air” after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo and Zidane. Obviously, this would be a great signing for Inter but at this moment, Modric is out of reach. Real Madrid are going through the end of their cycle but it is difficult to think that they would have a hard time finding buyers for the architect of three consecutive Champions League titles. We are speaking of tense of millions of euros, and not with the formula of loan with option to buy. Modric seems to remain a forbidden dream.

I think that Vidal behind Icardi could be better than N9.
