We didn't like Vidal's knee problem. Good riddance.

So we pay the real price of SMS for the loan, and another 70 mill later?

I suggest people watch clips of him at the WC. Hes not the great player hes made out to be. Another overhyped/priced player from Rome like Alisson.

World Cup is not necessarily a representation of a players skill otherwise Klose would have been the best striker in the world but in truth no one really fought to get him.

Keep in mind that the first world cup game was not only SMS's first world cup game but also his first competitive game for his country under a guy who never coached - he still managed to put Mitrovic 1 on 1 twice and should have had 2 assists. The entire team played bad the other 2 games and that's not on SMS. If you look at Messi playing fore Argentina no one would think that's the same guy that kills it for Barca every week.

Fuck Gundagai. I'd be happy to see Sergej Milinković-Savić here though.

Gotta lean on the realists here. We really wont get Modric nor SMS in anytime soon. I get the feeling for some other reasons that Inter is trying to get media exposure by being linked with big names. Let's get back to reality and target for 2nd-tier players which we can afford with the formula of loan + option-to-buy while I believe our hands are still tied on FFP.

So we got Paredes, Lobotka, and this Bernard guy? Well, fuck us!

Incredibly hard to believe Lotito would accept doing business with us. And how would we be able to pay that 70m€ next summer? :D Let Politano, Vrsaljko walk? Sell Icardi?

how about advancing in CL and getting that money ?
and Lotito is an idiot if he mixes business and personal issues. in fact it would be more beneficial for him to deal with Inter, as we "owe" him somehow after taking his player for free.
for that he'll try to squeeze more juice from us.

I calculated that if we make this kind of run in CL: 4 wins in groups => round of 16 => quarter finals. We would make little over 30m€. Extremely unlikely scenario and that still wouldn't be even half of the required 70m€.

edit. Of course that TV money income needs to be added, but it's hard to guess what it will be at this point. In a perfect scenario it can be even more than the prize money but hard to say if it's even possible for Inter in the first season back in CL. In that very favourable scenario, I don't think it would reach that 30m€ (though again it depends on how other Italian teams do in the competition).

I have a feeling that we have money, not much, to end the mercato on a high note. Thats why Aids was so confident about the possibility but not the target, thus Mr. x. We travel everywhere with our 30-40m plus option to buy knocking the door of Modric, SmS and the likes... Ten days left, my hope has lowered to Rafinha to continue live in the age of reality.

CL numbers are bigger than you think. To give you an idea, Roma made an estimated €99m from their semi-final run this year (Prize money = 38m, TV Pool = 44m, Gate = 17m). A lot depends on how the other Italian teams do (TV pool share increases if other Italian teams do badly), but a reasonable estimate for Inter reaching the quarters will be somewhere between €70m to €80m.

I thought UEFA scrapped that Market Pool thing for 2018-21. They'll be using a 10 year historic record something, so at least we keep our CL trophy in the log for two more seasons.

If not Modric, SMS would be a great addition as well. Different characteristics but SMS would also give our midfield a different look - in a good way. Would it be possible - No idea but if we are willing to splash that kinda $$ for Modric, then I believe the management would be willing to do it (mainly Suning - age & talent factor being there).
