Cavani and Lautaro up top would be A LOT of passion. I actually can’t think of a better role model for Lautaro

I feel like having El Toro and El Matador up front together would be hilarious and lead to excellent memes/headlines

Are you sure serie b people are qualified to discuss serie a issues? But seriously, what is wrong with playing the duo up front?

Our "thrifty" owners probably don't have the money even for Pellissier.

i d much rather have edinson here than edin but fuck me they are both overpriced considering their age.
But atleast with cavani we get a WC player!

The thing i d hate to see is us getting both of them if we go for one of them and we need another striker i d like that guy to be under 30.

We best sign him fast, before Rube offers to trade him with Higuain/Douglas Costa/Caudrado/..

If I've understood the formula correctly:

We make an offer, to Man Utd for Darmian for example, and then juve hijack our deal by offering Man Utd a swap deal of Alex Sandro for Darmian..?

Maybe we should target Kevin Prince Boateng from Fiorentina, with the understanding that when they get Bernardeschi, they will sell him to us for 20m.

Lets get this done. It’s to continue an inter trend of always having a world class striker. He has Serie A goal scoring pedigree and he’s a champ. More importantly he adds experience to a side that only has Handanovic and Godin.

What I like even more about this transfer is that Cavani will most likely give us 2 years of top football. So it acts as a stop-gap solution for our striker role. Meaning that todays market doesn’t have many available top strikers which allows us to test the market again in two years time for a new striker.

Whereas getting Lukaku forces us to stick with him for 5 years.

I don't think our owners are that thrifty. We have already spent/committed more than 110m on transfers. Its just that we got Beppe Miser-Man Marotta. Always low balls and drags the negotiations. Sometimes with good reasons (Lukaku isn't worth 85m) and sometimes just penny pinching (15m or 20m for Dzeko doesn't make much difference in the larger scheme of things). If we already had Dzeko, we would be relaxed and negotiating for the next striker more calmly from a position of strength.

He also dragged the Barella deal only to pretty much succumb to Cagliari's valuation. The kid was stuck on Inter since the beginning of last season and we could have completed the deal with $$$ + Pinamonti with a clause. Not only we didn't, we managed to do it by also losing Pinamonti for this season.

I don't feel he negotiates well without others fearing that Agnelli will relegate them.

Juventus' best signings when Marotta was around were free transfers or meeting the clause. Bernardeschi and Dybala were quite high and above what others would have paid for them at the time for example and the clubs were pressed to sell because it was Juventus, not because Marotta made some magic.

Close thread. Several reporting there Cavani will not be leaving PSG and will stay to try and win the CL. Can you blame him lol? Play with Mbappe or with Candreva? Tough one

If we can't get Cavani, I can see us overpaying for Zapata big time. :D

I really hope this ends up being a blessing in disguise. Not finding a top striker can lead to all our money being spent on a midfielder. If it's SMS, I'd honestly take even Llorente as a starter. I really want to secure SMS.

Would be funny if we'd suddenly pull an Ajax on them this season.
