Lautaro is absolutely ready to start. Just because he missed a couple of good chances, doesn't make him unfit for it. His finishing is only going to improve, and he needs playing time for it.

The biggest attribute Lautaro has is his mentality. He fights out there on the pitch, isn't afraid of dueling with defenders, and has a good sense of positioning and movement. We should expect him to get 12+ goals this season.

As per Times (Paul Hirst) ManUtd will pay 6 million pounds, Inter will pay 9.64 million pounds (all gross wages). As per them the wage is around 15-16 million after getting his wages reduced by 25% because of failure to qualify for CL.

His wage numbers keep changing all the time. Some day his gross wage was like well over 20m (pounds or euros).

It simple case of few reports adding all the possible bonuses and few reporting his basic wage. His contract is not even secret, football leaks reported it. His basic pay is 20 million, now with getting 25% off, it's 15 million gross. Don't think he will be eligible for any bonuses when he isn't even Manutd player for a year (not sure how these work).

But somewhere it's reported his full salary with all the bonuses is about £500k per week which equals to at least £26M gross.

Well, we will find out soon how much Inter will pay. 5m€ net has been reported.

Yeah, those bonuses include qualification for CL, x million if he scores some number of goals and also 75K for every game he starts and also includes loyalty bonus, image rights bonus. He won't be getting any of them now except few.

Inter will pay 5 million net only, which is very close to what Hirst reported, around 9.6 million pounds gross. Maybe the new tax law means they will pay him less in gross wages but that shouldn't change much on how much we are paying and how much Sanchez will get (in the end he will get total net wages).

If we don’t start Lautaro now he will stagnant and may never be ready

Not necessarily. One could also argue that if we start Lautaro always with no competition, he will stagnate. I think getting Sanchez to give him competition is healthy. Lautaro must prove he is ready to start. He is very young, one season of rotation is not detrimental to his development.

His daddy for sure isn’t gonna like it.

If I was the producer of tiki taka, I would definitely invite Lautoro’s dad as special guest while Wanda is still there.

So it's reported that there is no option to buy him as part of the loan deal. This is kind of a bummer since if he takes off and does well, United will ask a lot for his transfer as opposed to the 15 mil that was being reported for the option to buy.

I think his dad would like us getting Sanchez than Dybala. If somehow we end up with both Sanchez & Dybala (impossible), then his dad would have a go at us for sure !! haha

Oh yeah for sure, at least he can just remind himself how washed up / finished Sanchez is and he’s just here for a year.

Still, he will probably find something to complain about when given the chance.

If that were to happen, we can veer towards other budget options. After another year of development, Lautaro should be ready to start consistently.

Lautaro or Sanchez being the third striker is not a problem with all the games we have and considering how injury Alexis was this past year and a half Lautaro will be getting a lot of game time.

Hopefully we'll have the Sanchez from the last Copa.

We still (practically) have Pinamonti who will return here next year, and should be mature enough at that time. Sanchez would be ideal to fill the slot till then.

Personally I don't mind not having an option to buy. We only need him for one year, just like we did with Keita for example. If Conte gets the best out of him, or rather what’s left of him, good for us. I'm sure we will find other targets in the next summer mercato.

Since we are off-topic, let me clear things once & for all regarding Pinamonti, because we are not letting him go, just letting him constantly play and develop.

Sky: Despite it being an outright sale, the clubs will maintain a gentlemen agreement for the return of Pinamonti to the Nerazzurri starting next summer. This is because the so-called “buy-back clause” is no longer possible after the change of rule that prevents clubs from entering obligation to re-acquire the players the following season.

Capital gains can be put on balance sheet only when there is no such clause, that’s why Inter will not include it in this operation.
It was reported that Genoa wanted at least €25m from Inter to buy Pinamonti back.

so we are basically "paying" 7m€ for a one year loan of pinamonti to genoa?

Pinamonti was bought outright by Genoa but as you guys said there's this so called gentleman agreement. Hopefully we can get him back if he succeeds because he's an Interista through and through.

Is this the same kind of gentlemen agreement we had with buying Rafinha outright with Barca?
