so we are basically "paying" 7m€ for a one year loan of pinamonti to genoa?
Yes, that`s the idea. Not sure on the exact figure because it`s a secret agreement between the clubs. Given the change of regulations which restrict clubs from having co-ownership on a player and even more recently, removal of the "buy-back clause", we had to find a way to make sure that promising players are not just being loaned out and forsaken. Club is learning from past mistakes and wants to support, enhance & accelerate their development. We need to make sure they are playing regularly, being protagonists in the season - this is how we maximize their development, instead of keeping them on the bench. We all know how low-table clubs have the tendency to play experienced players, to increase their chances of avoiding relegation.

Clubs like Genoa will have interest in playing our young players only if they have some incentives - so we sell them the player. In order to prevent them from selling our talent to our rivals, we make a gentleman`s agreement to buy him back. And of course no decent club will do this for free, so we are paying for it. It`s not like Genoa want to become our sattelite club in Serie A! To make it interesting for them, we reward them for this service. 1 year of development has a certain price, sometimes the agreement is for 2 years and then a different price is set.

It`s the same kind of deal we made with Genoa for Romanian NT keeper Ionut Radu: needed cash for FFP so we sold him for 8€ but then activated his buy-back clause and bought him back for €12m. If we waited for another season to buy him back, according to the agreement we would have payed €15 if (I remember correctly.) Now he is in our ownership but loaned out to Genoa for 1 more season to further grow, because he actually had a great season and they wanted him back.

whats the probability that inter gives sanchez the number 7 shirt, just to let icardi choose a new number again?

It would be hilarious to do that to Mauro. I have a feeling Sanchez will take the number 17, like he wore his 1st 2 seasons at Arsenal.

Welcome Alexis!!

He was great for so many years, a bad time in Manchester doesnt make him a bad player. If he is in form he is absolutely worldclass.

If he has anything resembling a productive season, United will instantly demand 30 million for him.

That's my concern as well, along with discussing wages with Alexis.

On the other hand, we are still getting a good, if not great, loan deal.

If they demand 30m or similar, it will probably make us reject the deal if he performs decently, we will not discuss it at all if he flops.
My point is that even if all roads lead to a situation in which we won't but him, is it really so bad considering the highly favourable agreement for this year we get? I would argue no.

Exactly. We are just paying Sanchez for his services this season. Actually I don't see us acquiring him eventually because his real salary is so massive. There's two years left of his contract next summer. That's 24m€ net at least for Sanchez. We are not going to pay that kind of money even if that is divided to 3 years. Unless United pays part of that as a golden handshake. And let him go for a very moderate fee.

This loan is a good deal, with or without the option. As now thinking of it, United don't want to keep the player next summer, they want to get rid of him. But no club is going to pay a big transfer fee and no club is going to pay Sanchez's full salary. So the fee needs to be reasonable and United has to contribute to the salary somehow. No matter what happens this season.

i think we all have chubbys right now. Not like seeing Jessica Alba in "Into the Blue" or Meagan Fox in "Transformers" level chubby but like Jennifer Lawrence level chubby.
