Did they loan out Alena while Vidal is throwing tantrum cuz not enough playing time?
I said “competing with elite clubs” i.e. next season. Vidal, if coming, for now will play almost every matches so it would not be a problem. When Eriksen is here Vidal is already 33yo and he would need to be rotated anyway.

Yes Alena has left but thats not the point. The point is that even the 6 choice can start at some time, let alone the 5th. Every top teams stack their midfield with >=5 high class midfielder, we have to do the same if we want to be at the same level.

Vidal is done do not want at all. Management should focus all effort to get Eriksen on a Bosman deal.

In the summer Chiesa, Tonali should be priorities alongside a LM and WB's where possible to compliment this seasons squad.

I just wanna say, I dont believe for a second that we're gonna get Eriksen. His wages are very high, papers are reporting 15m net per year - so double what we pay Godin/Lukaku - and a lot of top clubs will be going after him.

Lukaku makes 9, Godin makes 5.

I am not sure if Marotta delays transfers on purpose or this is his way of doing things. If it is the latter, I think Juve did the right thing by firing him.

Fabrizio Romano:

Exclusive: The truth about Inter-Eriksen and Tottenham's choice; the latest

Christian Eriksen's contract with Tottenham expires at the end of the season and the player represents a dream signing for many clubs across Europe, including Inter Milan.

The Nerazzurri have moved strongly on the Danish midfielder in recent weeks and have made direct contacts with the agents of the player which continued until these days. The Nerazzurri and Antonio Conte would see him as perfect for taking off the project, the right man in the right place, quality and international experience at limited costs.

From here on, there is s still a long way to go. Because the economic demands are important in terms of salary and the competition is very strong for next June. Many top clubs are monitoring the situation, from Manchester United to Real Madrid.

Inter joined the race despite knowing that Eriksen can target other clubs and there is also another factor that could push him to the San Siro: the Dane has informed Tottenham that he wants to leave already in January in case the right offer arrives.

Mourinho agreed to this on one condition: Tottenham let Inter know that they would immediately sell Eriksen for a base of 20 million euros, so as not to lose him for free in the summer and be able to reinvest the money immediately.

The Nerazzurri preference is for June, also because the investment between commissions and salary would already be high. But the competition is top-notch. All the factors are making the operation too complex but Suning will try until the end.

Not sure where you getting that, but from what I read Eriksen makes £3.9m a year, that's only €4.6m. Spurs offered him a new contract which included a 2.5 times increase in wages. So obviously thats the ballpark he will be looking at. The good news is that with the new tax law, we can be very competitive with wages as the net wage is very high compared to our gross cost. If the transfer fee is greatly reduced, I don't think the wages will be a problem for Inter.

Lukaku's annualised cost to Inter is around €25m pa. Even if we sign Eriksen for say 30-40m, thats just 6m-8m in annualised transfer fee cost. So we can give him monster wages and he will still be cheaper than Lukaku.

With some of the latest news they're talking 15m euros net - so that's like 20mil a year. With a transfer fee, that's putting him on a par with Lukaku basically. Between the two of them, that's 50 mil a year - a pretty major chunk of our revenue to be tied up in two players. We don't have the money base to sustain three or four major stars like that right now, we need to be more modest until we get our revenus up further.

We can buy ourselves time with Perisic and Icardi sales, but beyond that, where's our plusvalenza gonna come from? It's basically Skriniar, Martinez, or Brozovic at this point in time, off the top of my head..

That's the reported offer from PSG. If true then we shouldn't bother.

Real have VDB (verbl agreement), Fabian Ruiz (number one target), Pogba (Zidane's number one choice) already ahead of Eriksen with Odegaard bossing at Real Sociedad and expected to be back in the summer, and Valverde currently excelling.

No way Eriksen will start centrally ahead of Goretzka, Muller and Thiago with Tolissio on the bench and Havertz joining in the summer. With Barca looking to get Cou off their wage bill they might look to offload him at a discount price (50-70M).

That leaves us, PSG and Barcelona and maybe Juve, if we wait till the summer. IMO we should push for a purchase now (20M to Spurs) so we avoid the inevitable bidding war. But has to be at reasonable wages. He's not Modric level.

I don't believe we are anywhere near close to signing Eriksen but if we somehow miraculously manage to land him this January I'm pretty confident we are winning the league with him. Hell slot in just like Sneijder did back in the day.

I don’t watch Spurs regularly but I think you are overhyping Eriksen way too much.

as far as i understnad it, eriksen has not been playing as well as normal since he decided he'd leave tottenham like 18 months ago - you can see two seasomns ago his goals and assists were quite staggering, and it's nosedived to where we are now. Motivation is gone.

He's a world class midfielder, would love to have him here.

I don't think Eriksen needs anyone's "hype" - dude is a world class midfielder and that's a well-established fact at this point.

Would happily break the bank for Eriksen now, even if it means giving up on 2 signings in the summer. It would at least mean that for once in our damn lives we prioritized the midfield over anything else.

Apparently Tonali is ours come July :) Hope it's true.

Two options. Either locked for the summer or buy outright this month and remain on loan to Brescia until the end of the season.

source? The only rumour I have read was from Bresciaoggi, some local newspaper from that town.
Same, probably:

Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta is planning a move for Brescia’s Sandro Tonali according to a report in today’s print edition of Brescia Oggi.Marotta is understood to be preparing an offer which will be difficult for Brescia president Massimo Cellino to turn down for one of the hottest prospects in Italian football at the moment.Inter will look to buy him in the January transfer window and will allow the 19-year-old to remain at the Stadio Mario Rigamonti until the end of the season to allow him to continue his development in a familiar environment. The report suggests that Marotta is plotting the move for Tonali as a direct response to arch-rivals Juventus swooping in and taking Dejan Kulusevski from right under Inter’s nose. This season Tonali, who is under contract with the Azzurri club until the end of next season, has made 18 appearances across all competitions in which he has scored one goal and provided two assists.

Tonali shouldve been our priority regardless of Kulusevski's decision.

Marotta had to do something to save his miserable ass but I would still want to see a confirmation that it is a done deal.
