It is pretty clear that Lautaro wants to go to Barcelona. It's not a diss at Inter, but he fancies that club and Messi more than Inter.

And it's time we accept that Inter is lower down the pecking order than Barca/Real. We're lower than the top EPL clubs as well, but with those clubs it's also a difference in terms of culture and style. With Spain, that's a little less.

I'd hate to lose Lautaro, but we don't really have an option here. Even if there is no release clause, the agent would fight hard to transfer him.

Let the management do whatever they can to milk money out of this. The only Barcelona players that could move here are some makeweights like Semedo, or maybe Griezmann, who could be a like for like replacement. Griemann would thrive better in Conte's formation than his role at Barca. But he's also a drama queen. The deals I would like are anything above 120m for Lautaro, or 60m + Griezmann.

Side note - Lautaro would not be a massive success there. He'll do well, but not well enough to warrant that fee, much lesser than what Suarez was for them.

Suarez will go down as the greatest #9 the club has ever had so quite ambitious to put him in the same category longterm. Barcelona need a reference #9 to transition from Luis and, for me, no other current player out there ticks that box better than Lautaro. I have hoped the allure of Barca, living in Spain & playing regularly with his compatriot in Messi would tilt it in our favor and that perhaps may end up being the case

everyone needs to chill. there's no sign that lautaro even really wants to go to barca right now, nothing said publicly etc.

I dont think the current rumour really stacks up - why would we take Rakitic, Vidal, Griezmann instead of Martinez? They're expensive, depreciating assets with high salaries.

not necessarily....

for one, the wage is up for negotiation at the moment at inter anyway

two, barca have plenty of documented financial problems right now - and i suspect neymar is the priority for them. Martinez doesnt have the same star power which drives the barca machine. They are also kind of fucked right now politically and from an ownership perspective

I'm still adamant this season doesnt make sense for him to go. End of next year, I think, would.

If the release clause has to be paid in full at once and they can’t do that...... then they can go suck a dick...no favors and none of your players neither... specially that diva Griezmann.

I rather see Lautaro at real... the thought of him celebrating with the player I hate the most which is suarez infuriates me.

If anyone thinks Inter will give up on him easily, he's wrong. I call most of the reports BS, its this time of the year they have nothing to write about.

I love Lautaro. His development in the one and a half season he's been here has been amazing to witness. I have no doubt in my mind he will be one of the biggest stars in football this decade. With that being said, people get way too attached to players and that blinds them from the reality. Marotta said directly into the cameras that Inter won't stop a player from leaving. He's continuing the road he paved for the ladri. To make the next step you need huge player sells early in the project. Selling a player for over 100mil will make Inter brake the 500mil barrier next season and probably take us closer to 600mil in revenues. This is a team that had +/- 200mil in revenue just 3/4 years ago. Think about that. Inter will find a replacement just like we found one for Icardi. And when a team have that kind of revenues you already know bigger names than Eriksen will arrive.

Edit: Making business with Barca always brings me joy when you think about the last 3 deals between the teams (Montoya doesn't count).

Totally agree. I believe this is the healthiest approach to running a club like Inter at the moment. It's childish to want to stick to one player for the sake of that player.

Lautaro agent has been meeting with Barcelona since October while he had also said it would be great to see Lautaro playing at Barcelona. Lautaro is leaving because he wants to leave. If he wanted to stay, he could have waited till the end of the season to discuss terms over a new contract. This is his first season at Inter as a starter.

If we want to blame the Inter management, we should also blame the guy who added a release clause to Lautaro's contract.

Barcelona came in August and told us that they want Lautaro next season.

We did nothing to stop that.

I don't think Lautaro wants to leave. I do think he fancies a move to barca, but at the same time wouldn't mind at all staying here.

That being said, selling Lautaro ins not the right approach imo, unless you believe Inter's ceiling is to be a stepping stone for bigger clubs. We are in a growing phase right now - who we buy and sell in the market will define the direction in which we want to grow. Imo the benefits of keeping Lautaro (skillwise) outweigh the €111m. Top clubs simply don't sell their MVPs, especially when he's a vital part of our coach's starting 11.

If my first statement isn't true and he indeed wants to leave at all costs this summer, then sure, keeping him would be stupid. But if they want our best young player, then we should ask for theirs as well - De Jong. We would need to enter the market to replace Lautaro, but fuck barca.

Guys. It’s the days before a big match, and all of a sudden Lautaro wants to leave. Coincidence, I’m sure.

I’m sure in the week leading up to the Juve game we’ll hear about De Vrij being sold to PSG. And that’ll be a coincidence again, of course.

This has the potential to get ugly quickly. If things start going in the direction the media are claiming, you can be sure of one thing: our supporters will not give Martinez an easy time between now and the end of the season.

Also, it could potentially have a destabilising effect in the team.

Marotta or Zanetti should give a statement and announce contract negotiations/renewal. We need good atmosphere around the team.

The way I see it the only thing we can safely say is true about Inter is that we have a huge potential, great story behind us and strong appeal -- that's it. "We are a top club" is not a thing we can convincingly defend atm and that should inform Inter's approach imo

It's quite possible Lautaro's explosion has a lot to do with Conte and his coaching. Conte is the one we can't lose imo

I do love Lautaro, for what it's worth

Where are the pics?

The story behind it . Instagram, there was interaction. Someone asked her favorite place to live. She answered " Spain. Or US " with a wink emoji.

Ok . The detective Nurko got me on this one. I twisted the story maybe too much and ppl got triggered. But the facts still remains.

1. Lautaro wants to play with Messi.

2. We cannot offer him the same wage package.

3. Her gf likes Spain.

4. Lets bring Messi here.
