I cant see how his value can ever be as high as 130 mil so fuck yeah I'd make this deal. His heart is set on Barcelona so let's squeeze them for everything.

I love Lautaro. His development in the one and a half season he's been here has been amazing to witness. I have no doubt in my mind he will be one of the biggest stars in football this decade. With that being said, people get way too attached to players and that blinds them from the reality. Marotta said directly into the cameras that Inter won't stop a player from leaving. He's continuing the road he paved for the ladri. To make the next step you need huge player sells early in the project. Selling a player for over 100mil will make Inter brake the 500mil barrier next season and probably take us closer to 600mil in revenues. This is a team that had +/- 200mil in revenue just 3/4 years ago. Think about that. Inter will find a replacement just like we found one for Icardi. And when a team have that kind of revenues you already know bigger names than Eriksen will arrive.

Edit: Making business with Barca always brings me joy when you think about the last 3 deals between the teams (Montoya doesn't count).

Who is Lautaro compared to strikers like Ronaldo or Ibrahimovic that left Inter to join Madrid or Barcelona in the past. Ibrahimovic for example carried Inter for four seasons before he was sold to Barca for a handsome fee and Milito was brought in stead.

People here need to relax. When Real Madrid or Barcelona come in for a player than the selling club can’t do much.

As long as the money is used to improve the squad no one should be complaining.

Is there another Ronaldo around? Or even Zlatan? Not really. Lautaro is on his way to be solidified as a top 10 striker in the world and we must keep him.

It seems lautaro is intent on going and inter okay with selling. Its likely he rejected any approach for a renewal. 130 mil for this guy is insane, come onnnn

But we only have so much control over that. We can offer lucrative contracts, we can reject offers not deemed good enough, sure, but keeping a disgruntled player isn't going to be the best in terms of getting top performance out of them nor is it going to be best for the morale of the locker room. This is in general; I have no idea how Lautaro either does feel or is going to feel in the coming months or years.

In a perfect world, we have nothing to worry about. He's an excellent player to (try to) build a team around. But if his heart is set on Barcelona and he'll do anything to go there? I don't know what else to tell you. Cross that bridge if we ever get to it, I guess.

His agent approached us for a contract renewal in the summer. We didn't conclude on a deal.
His agent approached us for a contract renewal in December. I don't see any announcements.

If he leaves, it's our fault. Period. This will be fairly similar to how Barcelona lost Ronaldo to us.

Yes, but don't forget, as soon as you cash in those 130 or whatever millions for Lautaro and when you intend to look for the replacement, the seller will know how much you got paid and they will try to milk you till the last possible euro.

I guarantee you we will not be able to find another brilliant like him in the next decade at least. I am not blowing his horn for his playing abilities alone. For me his professionalism comes first, his work ethic and attitude is something that belongs to very few ballers in the world. I wouldn't exchange him for Neymar-Pogba or any other spoiled brat that costs shitloads of money.
Man I don't wanna see a problematic, mentally sick or alcoholic party animal bastard in our team anymore. Lautaro is plain opposite

I read the news today and saw that El Toro told the owners they should fire Conte or Martinez leaves. Apparently El Toro wasn't so happy with hearing from Conte that his sudden outburst on the field is about the way he haves sex at home and needs to get over it. It leaked out that El Toro doesn't like intercourse while only laying down and also mentioned he's not a dead fish.

This feels like a Ronaldo type situation except the bizarre leaked information.

Maybe his new salary could allow him to hire a designer. He must have made that LM logo himself.

On what? That his agent requested a new contract in the summer and in December?

Quick search got me this: https://www.sportmediaset.mediaset....-milano-per-il-rinnovo_12001857-201902a.shtml

This claims that our management will offer a contract or whatever. But we've seen the same guys say that Icardi was also offered a new contract in December 2019 but nothing was really offered. Also, the 3.5m figure feels very low.

Truth is, nothing serious has happened with the contract yet. We seem unwilling to discuss contracts during the season.

Lautaro agent has been meeting with Barcelona since October while he had also said it would be great to see Lautaro playing at Barcelona. Lautaro is leaving because he wants to leave. If he wanted to stay, he could have waited till the end of the season to discuss terms over a new contract. This is his first season at Inter as a starter.

If we want to blame the Inter management, we should also blame the guy who added a release clause to Lautaro's contract.

Fuck him. He doesn't have the head to be worth 110+m anyway so may as well take it. With all his diving antic he will fit right in at barca.

Redeem Sanchez then. I think he's a better player than Lautaro tbh, but Lautaro obviously has age on his side and can only get better.

If Lautaro wants to go let him...

Keeping Icardi this long didn't really help us in the end. Cash in and build from his sale.

Or maybe all this speculating wether LM will leave or not, is an attempt to influence up and coming contract negotiations?? We've seen it time and time again with so many other players/managers
