a big midfielder that isn't Gags and that would play instead of Brozović + a LWB like Kostić + a big striker that would be Vice Lukaku >>>>>>>>>> getting Messi

we should look into the future, not use all of our finances to bring Messi here. We are soooo close to having a great squad. I'd rather make the squad first and then get Messi for "free" next summer.

maybe, but in my opinion we should have another offensive option in our roster. It will be much easier to chase the result with Kostić / Hakimi on the wings.
This season our only threat from the wing was Candreva and sometimes Moses. It was easy for our opponents to close only our right side, because on the left Biraghi and Young were more defensive.

This was my thought. I posted a month ago in the Palmieri thread that Kostic would be my #1 (realistically obtainable) target for the left side. He's definitely a LWB, not a LB... but presuming with stay with a back 3, there'd be nobody up-front that opposing defenses didn't have to pay attention to. Can you imagine two of Lukaku/Sanchez/Lautaro, with Kostic and Hakimi on either wing, and Eriksen feeding them all? Terrifying for our opponents in a way that Candreva and Young couldn't possibly be.

Yeah maybe our goals against would go up by 5, but our goals for would go up by 15.

Who are we thinking to replace Skriniar if he does go? Kumbulla is a good prospective signing, but not enough to replace Skriniar’s quality and he would play at LCB anyway AFAIK.

Other than Upamecano, I can’t really think of other quality CBs that could be up for sale. Milenkovic from Fiorentina maybe?

Kumbulla can play on both sides and he plays in four man defense in albanian national team if i m not mistaken, so he is versatile. Quality wise i dont think he is far from skriniar, quite the contrary, especially in a three man defense, and that's all we should care cus I don't see us changing formation any time soon.

Milenkovic with kumbulla would be a dream for me tbh, but maybe it would be an overkill of sort.

Maybe this season, but I still think there's quite a difference between Skriniar at his best and Kumbulla at his. Would also argue Skriniar's ceiling is higher, at least in a back 4.

..... you mentioned Frog...... I wouldn’t start him against 3rd divison teams. Just make him join the coaching staff.

in 12 games he played this season, we didn't lose a single one. He's not a starter, but for a 6th CB of the bench he's pretty good.

He has never played for us yet actually and even our NT has changed to 352 too so he won't be able to try that here.

That said i have to trust the scouts on this.
The only matches i've seen of Verona were vs us and in that Kumbulla was bullied all the time from Lukaku. They do have a huge physical difference so i can give him that but not sure how well he does vs quick guys either.

If Conte leaves as it's expected, I doubt we'll still be looking for a lwb. We will probably go for a defensive lb and I have my doubts if Reguilon is good enough for that role. It obviously can't be Emerson as the guy is decent at best in defense.

If we play diamond in Allegri's system for the most part, Kostic doesn't seem like the ideal player to sign at all.
