Messi asked barca to releasw him for free is a huge sign that he chose Inter.
Man city could pay his transfer fees, no need for barca to release him for free.

We need to fucking go for him. Getting him for free was the only chance for us. Big dong zhang do your fucking tricks and gather the investment group and fucking do it.

The only thing that would drive him to Inter is Papa Zhang fulfilling his promise. We can pull the deal, but Suning must show that they want to as well. Behaving like weaklings against Conte has thrown me off regarding their ambition. Going for Messi, I don't care as much if they succeed or not [obviously want them to succeed], will give me back the feeling that they want Inter to be at the top.

madness barca will take him to the court if he terminated the contract
apparently the clause is ended in june,
but messi camp argue because of the pandemy the end of season is extended

CONFIRMED: The club confirms that it has received a bureaufax from Messi asking to accept the clause which would help him terminate his contract. The club says he had until June 10 to terminate the contract and that it is in the hands of the legal services. @rac1

Don't have one.
Apparently his "free clause" expired in june so it will not be straight forward to free himself just like that.

The good thing from this is Lautaro is probably staying. He would be insane to go to Barcelona at this moment.

Alfred Martinez (very reliable) :Messi has just told the club that he wants to leave. The Argentine can use the clause in his contract that allows him to terminate his contract unilaterally.Messi will not undergo medical tests this weekend. He will not train anymore either. His decision is absolutely final.

i really dont see another options for Messi beside Inter or Guardiola. if he gives his ok to us, the wage or financial deal wont be a problem for Suning.

Suning could be on the phone and promised him, they will give him a tons of money in China after he finishing his contract at Inter.

I cannot imagine the loss and pain Barca fans are feeling right now. I'm bracing myself for the eventual loss of Skriniar and this is about infinite orders of magnitude worse.

Buuuut, looking from the outside though, their pursuit of Lautaro only to end up without even Messi...it's fuckin' hilarious...

I can only imagine after Conte staying, Messi arriving and then Marotta having one of those Press Conferences of his own and yelling about how he doesn't know if he can continue with his role :D

When I look at Barcelona, I see Inter in 2011. An old team, over his prime to win all, with a huuuge payroll and without any young talent to build upon bar de Jong.
Barcelona need to an year zero. Badly. All their important players are over 30yo. They wasted nearly 400m for flops (Dembele, Cou, Griez). That was a crime. They have only de Jong to build upon. It would be better for both of them, Barca and Messi to part away.
I wrote a few days ago. If you are Messi, where you be the most appealing destination? The team with an excellent roster, lot of money and the coach you know, trust and was the most successful in your career. At City, Messi wouldn't need to carry the piano, they have a good and deep team. He will go as the savior who will help them conquer CL, where they disappoint year after year.
City makes too much sense. Way more than Inter. Sorry guys, we are not there. We are in the middle of "progetto" and Messi wants sure things.

Tbh although I would clearly love to see inter getting relevant again by signing Messi there is no way that will happen.

Let's get real, the issue is not even financial. Why should Messi after years playing in his style with barca should decide to end his career playing for Conte and run after opponents vs the likes of chievo and udinese.

If he leaves he either chooses to unite with Guaddiola and try CL win there or enjoy Paris and play with Neymar and Mbappe

Anyone know this guys actual Barca salary?

Agree with others here that while it’s exciting I highly doubt he will end up at Inter.

Conte: “Messi, why haven’t you run 12k yet!!!!”

For every league there are ' chievos and udineses'

Messi needs a backbone behind him. He would have that here.

For now are mentioned Inter, Man U+City, and P$G for Messi's next destinations. I don't see him in PSG but City with Pep look like most probable scenario.
