That has been basically going on since spring. Mbappe refuses to sign a contract extension (his contract runs out next summer) so that kind of forces PSG to try to sell him now. Mbappe wants only Real.

That might indeed have an effect on us if Jovic can be got for cheap. On loan of course, but maybe two-year paid loan and then option for 30m€.

Di Marzio reports that Inter is also interested in Wolfsburg striker, Dutch NT player Wout Weghorst.

He has actually pretty good record from Bundesliga:

18/19: 36 games, 18 goals
19/20: 43 games, 20 goals
20/21: 40 games:, 25 goals

Some kind of negative thing is he's already 29 so not too much resale value. But the price would apparently be around 15-20m€.

But these kind of options should be definitely considered if the price for Zapata/Correa keeps staying high.

La Repubblica says that Zapata is the first priority. If that doesn't start heating up in the middle of the week, Correa would be the next priority.

Marotta isn't interested in Scamacca or Kean. Jovic is a possiblity, Real is willing to loan with an option.

edit. Pedulla also reports the same priority story. Zapata -> Correa -> others (like Jovic who is liked by Inter)

Weghorst? Interesting suggestion. Decent forward, great finishing, hard working, good in build up play but poor technique and shit in penalties. He has been very consistent at Wolfsburg and he is considered one of the best forwards of the league. I have to admit he disappointed me in Euro though.

If we hadn't got Dzeko i would definitely want Weghorst as a 4th forward. But as a starter? I don't know if he's good enough. Then again i would rather get Weghorst for around 20m than spend 40m on Zapata.

Don't have one.

so no more Belotti guys
As if that poor bastard isn't finished already. Should have made a move from torino way earlier...

As for the weghorst dude, I don't watch bundesliga at all coz it's the most sterile shit ever, but at least they are considering other ideas than just stick to italy and overpay.

So we need 1 striker and according to media its Weghorst or Insigne or Kean or Scamacca or Correa or Zapata or Belotti or Keita Balde or Vlahovic or Raspadori.

Clearly the media has no fucking clue, so I will take what they say with a pinch of salt.

I could be very wrong as I’ve only watched him at the Euros, but I really wasn’t a big fan of Weghorst. Seems very physical and great in the air but seemed to really like technique and seemed a bit clumsy to me at times. I know he’s not liked here due to price but I’d take Zapata over him for sure.

My opinion is purely based on the Euros though as I’ve never watched him otherwise - maybe he was just an awkward fit for the Dutch team.

we need a left foot striker to work well with Lautaro. so the options are 2 :

1) Vlaovic
2) Jovic

no to Correa and Zapata please.

No, it's not like that. If you haven't noticed yet, transfer market works in a way that you look for different options. Make contacts to clubs and agents, try to find favourable deal.

If you expect someone to tell who Inter will definitely buy, you won't find that person. Not even if that person was Marotta. Because they are their options open at this point.

I kind of get the frustration to the transfer news but honestly, it has been like this forever. And it won't change. Media usually doesn't "know" stuff but there are surely sources who leak stuff to the press and that happens all the time.

Weghorst is in an upgrade on Dzeko, if he comes we have only Sanchez as a back up on Lautaro. I’d go for another type of striker after we already have Dzeko.
It seems like the media has 0 clue about what Marotta is doing so they link us with everybody. When we sign someone all the newspapers will have an article how “It was XYZ all along”.

How many backups you'd want Lautaro to have?

I think some media outlets have clue, some might not. These "it was all along" BS is of course just that, but doesn't mean other names mentioned before weren't on the list.

Like I just said above, probably not even Marotta knows yet who we're gonna end up signing.

Someone who can play alongside with Dzeko and with Lautaro would be nice. That would be an indirect back up but in my opinion that can be the best solution because in case of any injury we would have a decent option to replace any of our forwards.
